    rams on monday night football

what is your best rams monday night football memory?

Off the top of my head, a few come to mind.

First is a loss. the game at the end of 2000 that we lost to tampa, i believe 37-35, which may have been the single greatest peformance i have ever seen from marshall faulk, who had four tds and was literally unstoppable. just an unbelievable game even though we lost.

Another is during the great max q season, beating the saints on the road in that crucial division game towards the end of the season where ike was so huge.

Probably best of all was the opening game of the 2000 season while i was in attendance live to see the squad hoist the championship banner and then beat denver in a real shootout, the game where az and company ran down the sideline together for the long td.

    Best Rams MNF

1978 game Rams versus Steelers. Rams won 10-7.

That game meant winning the division. It also meant that we could beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl when we finally got there the following year.

The game ended on a missed field goal by the Steelers that would have given us overtime.

I do not, however, miss Howard Cosell.

Great call cowboy hater. I remember that game well. It established in my mind that for all the publicity around the vaunted steel curtain, the rams actually had a better defense. now if those rams teams in the 70's only had a terry bradshaw like qb, we would have won some titles.

I would have to say the last Monday night game of, I believe it was '02.....the one where Martin came in and brought us back from the dead to beat the Whiners. That game had meaning for me, because my parents and I play a little e-mail picks game, where we pick all the games of the week against the spread. anyways, we were in a three way tie going into that game. I was the only one to pick the Rams, and ended up winning the whole enchilada. The icing was the call I got from my dad at halftime, rubbing it in my face that the Rams were losing horribly. I got to call him back laughing hysterically at the end.

How about the 2002 game against New Orleans, when Saints fans were trying to sell the "we own the Rams" thing and Joe Horn and Kyle Turley were running their mouths.

I thought that game was in 79 season. We beat the steelers and then lost to them in the superbowl.Pat Haden was QB and got the only TD on QB sneak. It actually was a pass play but Haden decided to run it in.

i THINK it was a monday night game where we spanked the ******* and kevin greene was responsible for several sacks on montana. even though they already clinched the division it was great to see the a$$ whipping we put on them on national tv.

As Mom can swear to, I have had some issues of late with my memory, such as recalling certain details of events. (I hope this script they put me on really helps!) I swear I remember this game well. So, since it is the only MNF game I recall, other than the one where Bruce was all over the horse trailer, I'll go with this one too.
    Man, it sucks getting older.....
