Rams Myth-Busters
Every year, it seems, there is a prevailing myth about some Ram player that is proven wrong.
For example, two years ago, there was a myth going around that Bulger couldn't throw the long ball.
This year, the myth was that Steven Jackson couldn't carry the load a feature back.
What myth will be disproven next year?

Re: Rams Myth-Busters
That Dominique Byrd was a wasted draft pick.
I'm hoping he can put his troubles behind him and become a major weapon in our passing game, especially in the red zone."...and a great new warrior emerged from the many, to carry the torch, and his name was Rammin' Jackson...and a new era had begun! Bring on the battles to come, he screamed!"

That the Rams run defense is abysmal. Hopefully through Free Agency and the draft we can adress some major issues and the guys already here will step up.

Re: Rams Myth-Busters
I'm hoping to see an end to the "Rams are soft" myth. With an increased emphasis on running the ball and, hopefully, a tougher defense, maybe we'll be done with that moniker.

Re: Rams Myth-Busters
The rumor that will be busted this year is that Scott Linehan belongs to the Men's Hair Club.

Re: Rams Myth-Busters
The Rams soft run-defense. Realistically, we can handle smaller, quicker backs, but we pay for it against bigger RBs. I think we'll make the needed adjustments and prove this myth wrong next year.

Re: Rams Myth-Busters
How about that the Rams do have a 12th man that matters?! Anyone?! God I wish the St.L natives would step up. Although I don't blame them as much as the Rams management for not attemptting to get them more involved. Perhaps the myth to be broken for me is that the Rams can finally come out of the void they've been in since 01 and do some positive.

Re: Rams Myth-Busters
The Rams run defense is soft and can't stop anyone, and that our defense will be bad.

Re: Rams Myth-Busters
He can't.For example, two years ago, there was a myth going around that Bulger couldn't throw the long ball
Lking Bulger alot more after last season's TD to INT ratio, but he doesn't have a big arm for the long ball. It's no myth. Not bad with the mid-range deep ball, 35 yards, etc.. but nothing beyond that with any consistency.
Take the probowl. Palmer - money ball, deep pass for TD, in stride. Bulger, threw 2 ducks up in the air. One caught by the wrong guy.
Speaking of the deep ball, Holt is not the guy to go deep with. I don't think Linehan figured that out last year. He's not that fast, and is usually double covered. Curtis has the speed, but is undersized. Not sure if Bruce can still separate, but was the better option at one point.
Offensive looked much better in the last half of the season, but is more west coast with passes to SJ. We're missing the deap threat to spread the field that we had with the GSOT. Both in receivers who can stretch the field, and QB's who can throw it. Not a complaint, just a comparison of the GSOT and this team. Wish we could get Jarret, (or Garret?)
