Round Two: Rams' needs at NFL Scouting Combine? : Sports
TODAY'S QUESTION:
What is the biggest need for the Rams as team officials head to the scouting combine in Indianapolis this week?
JIM THOMAS:
Wide receiver, offensive line (guard and tackle), safety, outside linebacker, tight end, and running back (as Steven Jackson insurance) should all get special attentions from the Rams at the Combine.
But if I had to pick one position, I'd say wide receiver — still. With Titus Young come and gone, and with Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson both unrestricted free agents, the Rams need to add a playmaker or two to the mix.
BRYAN BURWELL:
More weapons on offense regardless of position. Wide receiver, offensive line, an heir to Steven Jackson are all priorities. But so are needs at safety and outside linebacker.
That's a good thing for the Rams because they can go into this draft with an open mind, not focusing in on one particular area. Just take the best player who can help you, period.
JEFF GORDON:
This is shaping up as a good draft for coverage safeties, which is this team's most acute defensive need. The Rams absolutely, positively need help there in a division that features Vernon Davis attacking the middle of the field for the *****. The mobility of Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and ***** quarterback Colin Kaepernick will extend a lot of passing plays next season and put that much more strain on the secondary.

JT - the question was biggest need.
Your answer was basically - "everything but DL and CB."
Can't help but like someone who really sticks his neck out.
(I'm pissed at myself for even reading this crap - actually, I'm flat not reading him anymore).
Take THAT JT!:D
Personally, I don't have the issues with Bernie that others do, (especially live), but this guy is a dolt.

I agree with all of our needs, but I honestly wouldn't mind going DL if a stud happens to fall to us (Star Lotulelei, Sheldon Richardson, Sharrif Floyd) at either 16 or 22. Imagine a Long-Brockers-Lotulelei-Quinn defensive line... it could be a Fearsome Foursome 2.0
