Rams in NFL-Europe
NFLE kicks off today. So I thought I'd give a reminder, we have three Rams (including one Hawkeye for RF16) playing in Europe.
So in case you needed another reason to watch NFLE (and you shouldn't need a reason to watch football...but I digress), we've got Rams on Frankfurt, Rhein and Cologne.Rams’ WR Jeremy Carter will update fans on his progress with the Frankfurt Galaxy with a diary from NFL Europe . Carter, an undrafted free agent signed by the Rams in 2005, is in his first NFL Europe season and is one of three Rams allocated to NFL Europe, joining WR Brandon Middleton (Rhein Fire) and RB Fred Russell (Cologne Centurions).
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Rams in NFL-Europe
NFL Network will air a game tonight at 6pm CST. I don't think that it is any of our guys teams, but it is football during this basketball blitz....

Re: Rams in NFL-Europe
I was able to catch the first 20 min of the galaxy and fire game. On the first play of Fire's second possesion they went with an end-around to our Brandon Middleton who picked up a solid 10 yards. No big deal but it was pretty cool to watch...

Re: Rams in NFL-Europe
Got to be honest..............
As a European fan of the NFL I have had absolutely no interest in NFLE after it became NFL Germany.
One of the NFL's dumbest moves was going after the short term cash rather than trying to build interest for the future.
The Monarchs used to be able to fill Wembley stadium, if they were ever revived they couldn't fill a phone box.
Parochial I know, but I remember the excitement that the original league created and this is a rather pale version of it's original self.
