Rams offense is looking like it will have a major makeover
Looking at this list of players that had a huge role last year, some if not all look to be gone soon.
From opening day last year, all of the starting receivers may be as good as gone. Our starting RB looks to be gone. The O line will not look the same as it did on opening day as well.
Last year Fisher came in and blew up the defense, only four starters returned. This year it's clear he will remodel the offense.
Steven Jackson
Steve Smith
Danny Amendola
Brandon Gibson
Barry Richardson
Quinn Ojinnaka
Wayne Hunter
Robert Turner

Good. It's about time we shed that horrificly slow offense we used to have. That starts with Givens and Pead. Let's go get some guys that'll turn this offense into a top 10 like our D.

I think Finnegan was on to something when he said they're not "rebuilding", they're "reloading"
If Fisher and Snead can have the same success reloading the offense this offseason as they did reloading the defense last offseason, the gold diggers and shehawks better watch out.

Re: Rams offense is looking like it will have a major makeover
As much as I love Jackson, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to finally see a heavy dose of speed and quickness coming out of the backfield. Jackson's downhill running style is awesome, but I'm ready for a higher potential of running backs breaking long TD runs. Jackson lacked the top end speed to break away. We've all seen how one long TD run can completely change the course of a game(AP anyone?).

Re: Rams offense is looking like it will have a major makeover
For sure. I think people are really going to underestimate Pead after last season. I tend to think differently than those who believe he isn't worth the 2nd round pick because the lack of production.
The way I see it, he was already a step behind Richardson because of Cincy's quarter system. When we all learned Richardson nailed the lead backup role, we kind of portayed the situation as Pead underperforming. It turned out that Richardson was a gem and actually played really well. We already know the Rams were preparing for the probability of Jackson departing(giving him the choice to void his contract at the end of the year). This is obviously pure speculation, but maybe with Richardson playing so well, they decided to slowly ease Pead in. He honestly wasn't necessary last year with Jackson/Richardson playing at the level they were. He will be fresh this year, he wont have the rookie jitters, and should have the playbook memorized.

Talk about a speed upgrade
Steve Smith vs Givens
Steven Jackson vs Pead
Danny Amendola vs Tavon Austin
Brandon Gibson vs Quick
The Rams could line up a much fast and explosive team for sure,Last edited by Rambos; -03-11-2013 at 02:27 PM.

Rams fact of the day: other than Bradford, the Rams have 23 offensive players under contract for a total cap hit of $24M. The entire offense other than Sam Bradford costs us less than Long and Finnegan alone. We need some freaking talent on offense!

Hey, You guys don't forget about Richardson ... thought he had several amazing runs early on.
Pead Racer .... might be the greatest name ever. Who said that?If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

Totally agree. It's nice to know the Rams have a good fall back option, if Pead doesn't pan out. I think between the two players, the Rams FO will be very confident moving forward at the RB position. It's the receivers where I have my doubts at the moment.? In saying that, its still very early days in the offseason. Its all this apprehension it's just killing me.
