Rams officially sign OLB Rocky McIntosh
Per rotoworld
I'm sure this signing will be well received. I personally am very happy and McIntosh should start by week 1 over Haggan.Rams signed LB Rocky McIntosh, formerly of the Redskins.
McIntosh had previously visited the Vikings and Dolphins in addition to the 'Skins. Coming off 65 tackles and a sack last season after losing his starting job mid-way through, McIntosh will likely compete with Jo-Lonn Dunbar and Mario Haggan for snaps at outside linebacker.
Here's a pic of the newest Ram, who also happens to be fairly serious about paintball haha.

Re: Rams officially sign OLB Rocky McIntosh
Glad to see he will back in a 4-3, especially our 4-3.
I love Miami in college football. Always love calling out "the U' before the players do when players introduce themselves on nbc sunday. I am also glad we have one on the Rams atlast! "The UUUU"
I think he will definitely be another starter along with Dunbar and JL. Good to see also increase the competition in the Linebacker corps, that will make everyone in that crew better.

Re: Rams officially sign OLB Rocky McIntosh
Im content with this signing.
Idk if he will be above average but he will be better than the OLBs weve been throwing out there for to long

Re: Rams officially sign OLB Rocky McIntosh
I wonder why he managed to get out of Miami and Minny w/o a contract?

Re: Rams officially sign OLB Rocky McIntosh
Im more than happy with this signing, was a good player in the 43 before the scheme switch and got lost in the shuffle. Hopefully with a return to the 43 will see him claim a starting spot oppposite Dun-Bar with Haggan being a situational pass rusher.
Hopefully not because of his pay but couldnt agree to terms.I wonder why he managed to get out of Miami and Minny w/o a contract?

Re: Rams officially sign OLB Rocky McIntosh
I love FA pickups like this during OTA's. Gives the veteran pickup all Training Camp to prove their worth. If they've still got it, you just improved your 1st & or 2nd string. If they don't, you lost nothing, had a decent camp body and whichever rookie player that beat him for the job gains confidence.
It's those pickups during preseason that force you to drop a rookie with upside for a vet that may not still have the mojo required that are more risky. Leber was like that. Rams didn't pick him up until August, after bulk of training camp, and had to make room for him. wasted space turns out.Last edited by KoaKoi; -06-14-2012 at 06:21 PM. Reason: pollish

Well - just guessing, but maybe, just maybe, MN and MI don't have the talent evaluators the Rams do, or the experience and depth from the Head Coach on down, or he saw a better opportunity with St. Louis, or Shanahan told him to play for Fisher, or he doesn't like snow or the ocean, or he loves St. Louie style ribs, or whatever.
Just be glad. We'll win 6 - 8 games this year, and start to look like a team that has a clue, and is heading in the right direction. Enjoy the ride.
(Plus I hear he really wants to hang around with Jenkins
).

Don't feel bad about that, Vegas. That's all any of us are doing.

Who needs snow or the ocean when you can bask in perfect 110 degree weather?
So what if all the west facing businesses have their door handles taped. What's wrong with wearing gloves all summer so you can open your your car's door or grab your steering wheel? Plus you can ride your motorcycle allyear, even though most of the time it's like pointing a hair dryer in your face and turning it on high.
Actually, Hub, now that I think about it, you have a point. (But it's a DRY heat....)

Seroius. Now, it's not like it's every day, but it happens, and you become aware of it, (and careful).
Inside your car can hit 120-130 degrees, if you don't use shades and vent it.
You don't walk aroud the pool barefoot either.
That said, I HATE humidity, and have sampled St. Louis in September. I'm cool here - pun intended.

Vegas,
I've got a dumb question for you, Why do the west facing businesses have their door handles taped?
I'm sure there is a logical - if not obvious answer - but I'm drawing a blank right now.....
WHAT SAY YE?
