And you measure success how? No felons selected? Check. No pro-bowlers demanding contract renegotiations? Check. I can follow this one. Not.

    "Best guitarist ever."

Hmmm... I'm assuming the "SRV" stands for Stevie Ray Vaughn; and, if that is the case, he is not even close to the "best guitarist ever", which would be Carlos Santana of course! And with honorable mention to Tony Iommi and Eric Clapton.

    WHAT SAY YE?

Rick Speilman would be an ideal choice for this department. His insight on ESPN was refreshing and insightful.
I agree, he knows his stuff.

We got jamie duncan because lovie smith, his position coach in tampa who knew him best, thought he would be an adequate replacement for fletch, in fact, better in pass coverage. I dont see a pro personnel department would have changed that decision.

Yea, I think they were already in Miami before Spielman came to town.

The personnel director for the Minnesota Vikings just got fired.....let's grab him (since he's done such a wonderful job for the Vikes).

Foley hasn't really done much with the Vikings (he was only hired in January), and it's hard to judge his scouting ability at the pro level when he was with the Chargers before because so many of their stars are homegrown. He was with the Jaguars from 1994 to 2002. For the record, he was fired because he lied on his resume about his early coaching career at the college level and the number of years he had played college ball. We still might want to take a look at him.
