    Rams re-sign Ojinnaka

    BY JIM THOMAS

Quinn Ojinnaka, who started all four preseason games at left guard for the Rams before being released, has re-signed with the team.

Ojinnaka fills the roster spot created by the designation of center Scott Wells to the injured reserve/designated for return list.

Wells suffered a fractured left foot in the season opener against Detroit.

Under the new "designated for return" rule, Wells can resume practicing with the team as early as Week 6 and can return to game action as early as Week 8.

I would have rather seen the rams bring back either Adam Timmerman or Tom Nutten.

Breaking news: Rams plead with NFL for two-hand touch rule on Sam Bradford. NFL responds "Maybe if it was Tom Brady"

Seriously though, the pickings at offensive line are going to be razor thin. We aren't going to get a permanent fix to the line right now. We just have to grab what we can and hope it helps.

Maybe he can just lie down and trip up opposing players. Seems that's about all he could do in the preseason.

His nickname should be "turnstile", cuz that's what he looks like blocking.

But he's a body, and right now, that's about all the Rams can hope for 'cuz there's nothing else out there, and at least this guy knows the offense.

    ugh.

I give this signing a "Yay!" with my most sincere apathy.
