    Rams Re-sign TE Aaron Walker

It looks like Byrd may be the odd man out as we all assumed.

    http://www.rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx

"Rams re-signed TE Aaron Walker to a one-year contract. With Dominique Byrd's legal troubles, Walker has a chance to be the third tight end in St. Louis this season behind Randy McMichael and Joe Klopfenstein."

I really had high hopes for Byrd before his recent troubles. He showed a lot of promise in his brief playing time. Walker works for me as well. But, I'm pretty bummed about Byrd.

I'm pretty sure we tendered Walker as a restricted free agent back in February or March, so he basically signed his tender. It's not like we let him test the market and then brought him back.

I like Walker. He performed well as a backup last season.

    Solid move by the Rams.

Well, I'm not sure it would be Byrd.....more like Klop and a 2 for Jenkins.

Re: Rams Re-sign TE Aaron Walker

He is big at 6'6" 260lbs. and was an above average blocker for the Rams last year.

I could see the Rams dealing Klop and a 3rd, or Byrd and a 2nd for Jenkins.

You might see Bryd alot this year, if we trade Klop to the Panthers...
He might just get on the field and never come off.

There has be speculation on what it will take to get Jenkins. Klop has been in many scenarios 2nd and Klop for Jenkins. You are not going to see the AP wire reporting this, but knowing the Panther needs this combination has come up a few times. Rumor, speculation by fans on both teams,it could happen. IMO

If we trade a #2 and Klop, to Carolina, we better get more than just Jenkins. A #2 strait up for Jenkins is a very good deal. A #3 and Klop would make more sense.
