Are the Rams ready to throw Null into the fire?

Lets not beat around the bush! Its time give Keith Null some live action pro football experience. Kyle Boller, lets face it , was a bad FA pick up. A good PLAYBOY, but a bad pick up, non the less, bringing nothing to the table.
This weeks practices should have Keith Null rolling with the 1st team, as the Rams prepare for a trip to Chicago.

40 year old Brett Favre picked apart this weak Seattle defense for 4 TDs and over 300 yards, Boller made the Seahawks look like a Baltimore Ravens or Pittsburgh Steelers defense.

What do the Rams have to lose? Throw in the Kid! (Null that is!)

Their dignity, their streak of games that have ended with the Rams gaining positive yardage, Chris Chandler's franchise record turnover mark, their will, and their status of "NFL team that has not gotten a player killed".

I would expect the front runner in the mvp race to pick apart and bad pass defense, but maybe you have higher expectations.

Null doesnt play unless boller gets hurt, seriously do you have a grudge against this kid, or are you just trying to embarrass a random member on the team by throwing him into an inferno of blitzes.

The most passing yards we have had this year made them look like the Steelers? come on just another wild exageration on your part... once again.

Do you see Tampa, Oakland, Detroit, Kansas City, or (enter horrible team here) playing their rookie 3rd string QB from a completely different offensive system "just to get their feet wet"? Shoot...have you ever seen an NFL team do that?

From an evaluation perspective, considering how injury-ravaged and talent-depleted this team is, if you have yet to experience significant playing time for the Rams, I can only assume that you do not even belong in the NFL...at least beyond the backup level.

His feet will be broken by the end of the game.

We are missing three of our offensive linemen. I don't want to watch our third quarterback this year get decimated.

Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

You mean he's not a wco QB. He must then be a pocket passer. There's no place on this team for throwing verticaly down the field. God forbid, he may even audible. This could lead to calling his own plays and eventually showing the dasterdly leadership we've heard of. Tell me when it's over.

Point 1. He's from a spread offense. We don't have the personnel or reciever depth to run anything close to a spread offense.

Point 2. Our last pocket passer broke his leg last week. And suffered a concussion. And has generally not performed well due to circumstances of his own making and that of others.

Point 3. Our line is singularly unsuited to protect a pocket passer. So even if Null was one, sending him out there would truly be the height of insanity.

Point 4. We lack the receivers to reliably go "vertical"

Point 5 (related to point 4). There is no point in calling an audible unless it consists of "Jackson is now getting the ball on this play, and to heck with this 3 yard slant Shurmur called."

Point 6. If you're playing at NCAA Division II, it's usually a sign that you aren't the brightest bulb in the box. The last thing we want is this guy to audible.

Tampa Bay put in Josh Freeman and he was their 3rd sting QB. Russel is a bust and now their playing Gradowski, They have Stafford so their testing him out, Chiefs have Cassel, Browns have Quinn and Anderson who are oth terrible bot Quinn still has potential but probably is a bust. Bucs, Lions, Browns have young QB so they cant put in #3 QB because they want to see what their QB can do. Russel is a bust so now their trying out Gradowski and Cassel was beat in pats they want to see if he can beast for Chiefs. For the Rams we all know that Bulger sucks and hes 32, Boller sucks also hes 28(not really old), Null is 23 those other teams have young QB's and are testing them out. Lets test ours.

So, our head coach is in over his head, so you want to throw in a rookie QB behind a patchwork O-Line, and HE won't be in over his head.

    Dude, seriously....

Josh Freeman was a first round pick, commands a much higher salary than Null does, and is Tampa's designated "franchise QB of the future" from Day 1. He was going to start this year regardless of his initial position on the depth chart. Indeed, all of those teams that are "testing out" young QBs have so much money invested in those players that they have to play them by necessity.

Null is paid....well if not the rookie minimum, something close to it. Finances do not dictate we start him unless Boller and Bulger are both dead or physically unable to play.
