Rams release OLB Nai'ill Diggs

Well its not a surprise. The LB picture is starting to clear up. Who goes next? Excluding Pete Fleps . I say Kehl or Diles.

Diggs was only owed $1.25 million in the final year of his contract, but the Rams are likely looking for more versatility out of their backup linebackers. Diggs wasn't going to start after the Rams added Brady Poppinga, Ben Leber and Zac Diles this offseason. At age 33, Diggs wasn't going to be a special teamer.

Ya not shocked one bit! I hope he can get on with someone, I'm pretty happy with our LB core this year, lots of competetion and good play... heck normally Diggs would be a starter for us so we are moving on up!

Agreed. Another very good sign is that Zac Diles is on the bubble. Its good because it shows how much we've improved. Though it is bad because it means he isn't playing at a higher level.

Im curious if he is on the bubble and happens to get cut do we still owe him his contract? do we save that money or does he still get that?

Interesting, but not surprising move. I'll take this as a clear sign of the Ram's LB getting a lot better seeing how this guy was one of the teams starters last year.

Jabara Williams is young and cheap....Diggs was owed some cash which we can save too....win/win

I would be surprised if Diles were let go.

He's getting there, age-wise. Not really a surprise especially when you're paying $1.25 million for damaged goods, he should be serviceable somewhere else though. Best of luck for him!

Diles is having some significant mental block with this defensive scheme. He's young and got some ability. I don't see him getting cut.
