Rams report card
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
01/01/2007
Quarterback
Bulger finishes career year in style with a 100.4 passer rating and a franchise record for lowest percentage of passes intercepted.
Grade B+
Running backs
Jackson made his point — 142 yards worth — against the league's top-rated run defense, and added a career-high 4 TDs.
Grade A+
Wide receivers
There were some early drops, but Holt, Bruce, Curtis and Aaron Walker all got their licks in vs. suspect Vikings secondary.
Grade B
Offensive line
Although hurried and hit a few times, Bulger wasn't sacked once. Interior of the line got the job done against Williams & Williams.
Grade A
Special teams
Turk and Wilkins finish impressive years in style; KO coverage unit sprang some leaks, including 65-yard return that set up TD.
Grade B-
Defensive line
Perhaps its best job of the season against the run, although QB Tarvaris Jackson had some scrambles.
Grade B+
Linebackers
Witherspoon had a sack and 2 hurries; Coakley continued good late-season play despite pass-interference flag.
Grade B
Secondary
Bartell was the man Sunday, with 2 INTs, including one returned for a TD; only one pass play (a screen) went for more than 20 yards.
Grade A
Coaching
Linehan deserves credit for keeping team up and focused despite being eliminated from playoff contention when Giants won.

Re: Rams report card
jk is correct as usual. the B plus grade makes no sense. The only think that kept the stats from being even better were three or four drops that hit the receivers directly in the hands. Bulger can only throw it, he cant catch it also. He controlled the game perfectly and made no mistakes. He got rid of the ball and threw it away when nothing was available. Just goes to show you the kind of standards someone is holding bulger to. A professional writer should know that grades are NOT all about stats.

Re: Rams report card
Agree pretty much with most of it, but....
Quarterback
Bulger finishes career year in style with a 100.4 passer rating and a franchise record for lowest percentage of passes intercepted.
Grade B+
...WHA?????
Let's see, 100.4 passer rating, lowest record % of passes INT'd, and he gave Marc a B+???? Marc was solid all year, and played his butt off each and every time he stepped on the field. I give him a solid "A".Faithful Rams fan since 1968
