Rams Report Card: RBs rise, coaches fall in average performance

ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
Monday, Nov. 13 2006

QUARTERBACK
Bulger's string of 100-plus passer ratings ends at six. He was under pressure
much of the game, particularly after Pace left.
Grade C

RUNNING BACKS
Jackson averaged 5.2 yards a carry and finished with 143 yards rushing and
receiving. Why didn't he get the ball more often?
Grade B

WIDE RECEIVERS
Holt and Bruce both caught seven passes, but Rams got little going downfield;
only one completion went more than 18 yards.
Grade C-

OFFENSIVE LINE
When do the mistakes stop? Four false starts, including two by Barron.
Incognito's personal foul was a killer.
Grade C-

SPECIAL TEAMS
Instead of leveling Burleson before his punt return for TD, Witherspoon and
Harris watched him catch the ball and go.
Grade D

DEFENSIVE LINE
Little was all over the place, with two sacks and the forced fumble that led to
Adeyanju's TD return. Run defense was poor. Again.
Grade C+

LINEBACKERS
Two sacks for Witherspoon; Tinoisamoa did what he could with bad hand, elbow.
Stevens' TD catch came between the two LBs.
Grade C+

SECONDARY
Not much to get excited about here. Rams haven't had an interception since way
back in Game 4, and Butler still can't crack lineup.
Grade C-

COACHING
Haslett was too conservative on defense in 1st half; Linehan's play-calling was
strange, especially on 4th-down pass in 4th quarter.
Grade D
