Rams Report: Fisher Won't Think About Playoffs
Rams Report: Fisher won't think about playoffs
2 hours ago • By Kathleen Nelson knelson@post-dispatch.com
In the grand scheme of things, there is no grand scheme at Rams Park. Even though the Rams are in 10th place in the NFC and just 1 ˝ games out of the final playoff spot, the Rams aren't thinking big picture.
“This team's focused on Buffalo. That's our next opponent,” coach Jeff Fisher said.
The Bills (5-7) are ninth, two games out of the final wild card spot in the AFC, and hosting the Rams at noon Sunday. Five teams are within two games of the final spot in the AFC, a half-dozen in the NFC.
“There's too much that can happen right now,” Fisher said. “I don't know what the record is of some teams in the division. So we just go play. That's it. Those things take care of themselves. WE have a huge, huge challenge this week. We've only won one on the road thus far. We play a team similar to ourselves. The records are similar. Statistically they're similar. They play well at home and they're still in the hunt. So we've got our hands full.”

Fisher heaped praise on the defensive front, calling Sunday's effort in the 16-13 overtime victory over San Francisco the unit's best game of the season.
“Each and everyone that was up played very well.,” Fisher said “They played hard, were physical, went to the ball, got off blocks. It was probably their best game.”
First-round pick Michael Brockers had 11 tackles, second only to Jo-Lonn Dunbar, and was a key to holding Frank Gore to 58 yards on 25 carries. Fisher also noted that William Hayes played probably his best game.
“Will's been playing pretty well the last four, six weeks,” he said. “This was probably Will's best game. We moved him around. He played left end, he played right end, inside tackle. He had a sack last week at nose, so he's been flexible for us.”

Fisher is right. These things take care of themselves. Go out and beat Buffalo, then come home for Minnesota. Let's see where we stand then.
And when was the last time you saw a defensive tackle get 11 tackles in a game?? Unreal.
