Rams rookie DT Michael Brockers has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.
It's good news that Brockers has avoided a fracture, but he'll still likely be sidelined for upwards of a month. It's a tough blow for the Rams, as the No. 14 pick looked like a force in the preseason. Brockers' best-case scenario would be returning in Week 3 against the Bears, but Week 4 or 5 is more likely.

Not the dreaded high ankle sprain!

The injury looked bad so a sprain, albeit high ankle, isn't so bad. He'll still be looking to play 12 or so games this season. Maybe give fat Albert a call before the season starts?

I would have rather lost the game, seen sammy throw 2 int's and not had the brockers injury. This is just terrible for us.

I agree it sucks but I don't think the success or failure of the Rams season is going to be based on one rookie missing 3 or 4 games. IMHO

I agree. Disappointing? yes, but hardly a catastrophe. Let's be thankful he'll be back soon and that we got out of the scrimmages relatively healthy. Now we have to STAY healthy.

As Mike said, let's hope the Rams trainers have better success with this injury than with Bradford's! Maybe MB's it is not as severe.
