Rams Roster Shaping Up Nicely
Here's the current starting line-up. Players in bold are players who the Rams should consider upgrading in the draft of free agency if the opportunity presents itself. Players in italics are those who have a question mark attached to them due to health or other (Leonard Little) considerations.
QB: Marc Bulger
RB: Steven Jackson
FB: Joey Goodspeed
WR: Torry Holt
WR: Isaac Bruce
LT: Orlando Pace
LG: Blaine Sapaia
C: Andy McCollum
RG: Adam Timmerman
LT: Scott Tercero
TE: Brandon Manumaleuna
DE: Leonard Little
DT: Jimmy Kennedy
DT: Ryan Pickett
DE: Tony Hargrove
OLB: Pisa Tinoisamoa
MLB: Chris Claiborne
OLB: Dexter Coakley
CB: Travis Fisher
CB: Jeremetrius Butler
SS: Adam Archuleta
FS: Michael Stone
So, clearly the biggest needs are on the O line and the DBs. I almost didn't put Fisher and Butler in the "upgrade category," as I think they are adequate. But the draft is very deep at CB, so the Rams could get a chance for a real upgrade there.

Re: Rams Roster Shaping Up Nicely
I agree with you for the most part but I'd say the defense should look a little more like this:
DE: Leonard Little
DT: Jimmy Kennedy
DT: Ryan Pickett
DE: Tony Hargrove
OLB: Brandon Chillar
MLB: Chris Claiborne
OLB: Dexter Coakley
CB: Travis Fisher
CB: Jeremetrius Butler
SS: Pisa Tinoisamoa
FS: Adam Archuleta

Perhaps, though from what I've been reading, I just don't think that Pisa is going to move to SS.

Re: Rams Roster Shaping Up Nicely
Well basically we're without a FS right now. Michael Stone is a ST player only and if he somehow made it onto the defensive depth chart he'd be a SS.
You've confirmed my suspicions AV...we need a FS!

I dont think travis fisher needs to be upgraded at all. Depth back there, sure. Safety absolutely. Right tackle? The number one consideration or we are right back where we were all year this year.

Unless the Rams get a shot at Antrel Rolle or Adam "Pac Man" Jones, I would stick with Fisher and Butler.

Re: Rams Roster Shaping Up Nicely
personally, i covet carlos rogers more than rolle and pacman jones...seen them play on tape and rogers is clearly the most agile and has great ball skills...his combine numbers indicate that he has the best agility of any player in this draft, which is amazing considering he is 6'1" and 190+...but more than the numbers he seems to make big plays in nearly every single game...
rolle may be the most consistent/safest, and hyped player due to his PR the last two seasons on the miami media frenzy but the least athletic of the three...jones is the smallest at 5'11" but is the most aggressive hitter i've ever seen at the CB position...he throws his entire body into every tackle he attempts, which may shorten his nfl career...but he also returns kickoffs and punts for the mountaineers...

Man, sounds like Arch's little brother. A back injury waiting to happen. Don't get me wrong, love the little guys that bring everything they got to the table, but the human body just can't do that long or often at the pro level.

WR: Isaac Bruce
LT: Orlando Pace
LG: Scott Tercero
C: Andy McCollum
RG: Adam Timmerman
LT: Blaine Sapaia (or rookie?)
TE:Brandon Manumaleuna/Rolland Willimams (split time)
DE: Leonard Little / (D Lew if L is gone)
DT: Jimmy Kennedy
DT: Ryan Pickett
DE: Tony Hargrove
OLB: Pisa Tinoisamoa
MLB: Chris Claiborne
OLB: Dexter Coakley
CB: Travis Fisher

I think there will be a FA FS starting the season. Dwight Anderson really impressed me last pre-season with his agressiveness, Look out JB.JUST WIN ONE FOR THE FANS

Re: Rams Roster Shaping Up Nicely
JB is the better of our two corners, IMO. With all the dumb penalties Anderson took on special teams, nothing has shown me he can mentally handle starting at CB.
