Rams send in tape to NFL...

On the ESPN ticker a few hours ago, it said the Rams were going to send in the NE vs STL tape and show that they got away with a number of penalties.

    Good to hear!

Good, I'm sick of the crap they get away with. They are lucky we didn't have SJ on the field he would've ran all over them.

I agree. I still think with Steven Jackson on the field we win that game. We shouldn't get too down over it though, Cardinals lost too, we're still very much in the playoff race if we can beat them this week.

Hopefully the league will at least watch the tape and admit the mistakes that the officials made.

While I agree that the Rams got screwed by the officiating in that game, I can't see what this will do, except make the Rams seem like a bunch of sore losers.

What'll more than likely happen is The Rams will find themselves fined for plays that weren't noted during the game.

Remember the hit on Leinart that broke his collarbone? Forget who it was-maybe Spoon- got a big fine for a helmet2helmet-how you break someone's collarbone by hitting their helmet I don't understand-then 2 or 3 other Rams received fines for other infractions, real & imaginary.

Unless it's absolutely blatant like Hochuli's gaffe in the Denver/San Diego game, we won't get anything but arrogant denials & retaliation from the Refs for questioning judgement calls or non-calls.

This was already posted by Wraith a while ago, I posted it until I realized he did the same already. Guess I'm not as slow as I thought.

Nothing's going to happen in terms of punishment or rewards for the Patriots or the Rams. If anything is found, don't hold your breath, then those refs involved will be barred from the playoffs.

Unfortunately, nothing is going to happen, but at least they're not taking it lying down.

They won't let anything happen. Like they protected them in spy gate, they will protect them with this.

The FO is doing the only thing that they can. Take action and move on. That is all that can be done. I am glad they sent it in.

Re: Rams send in tape to NFL...

There is some unspoken rule that favored teams get a pass--mostly. Look at last years game between the Pats and Jags. The winning touchdown was a gimme to the Pats because of penalty calls--certainly the first pass interference call was questionable.

Fact is, would it surprise anyone that a lot of calls didn't go the Rams way? Doesn't me. The NFL needs to rain in the refs! Fire the lot of them or put into place some sort of check and balance system--perhaps having an off site review of plays where the game can be stopped for review. Better would be heavy fines for incompentence. The league fines players game checks for 'misconduct"...fine the refs game checks. Remember the refs may have a union, but they still serve at the will and whim of the NFL

    Home crowd...
    Incompetence...
They see what they wanted to..
They cannot justify the ratio of penalties the Rams got over the Pats...

I know you could call a penalty pretty much on every play to be fair, but common sense absolutely suggests that IF the Rams committed 12 flagged penalties, then the Pats would have committed at LEAST 6 flags themselves..

They really need to start employing young athletic guys as referees, as opposed to old guys, whose eyesight, fitness levels and grasp of common sense are sub-par..

Why does an NFL ref need to be an older guy anyways??

Hate the Pats more than the whiners... Hate! Hate! Hate!

Re: Rams send in tape to NFL...

Do the Rams really expect anything to happen? No. At least not to the outcome of our game, but I'm also glad that we're not just taking it laying down.

The only good that I see coming out of this is a slap on the wrists of that officiating crew and hopefully some more fair calling of games for the Pats.

As for the bad? If we have another game called horridly against us, then a pattern starts, and then something more might start happening. The Refs wouldn't want that. This'll end up being a non-issue for the most part, but at least we're fighting back a little.

These are the things that a good team has to overcome!
Sure the refs made alot of non calls! But a good team will overcome those and and make plays to win the game!
Witch bulger coulden't hit the brodside of a barn in the 4th quarter!
I think its called the WILL TO WIN and Kurt had it and Mark has showen flashes of it!
