Rams shopping Steve Smith

He mentioned Smith as a receiver that could be moved today.

With Amendola coming back, no need to keep Smith he has done nothing.

I hate to say it but Salas was better and has more upside.

The Rams are trying to squeeze every bit of juice out of this roster, you got to like.

I can't imagine the Rams would get much for Smith, but when you look at 7th round picks like Daryl Richardson, its clear why trades for late choices are made.

Back to Smith for a second.

He was the number one or two receiver at the end of camp. He did not produce and then was benched for two games. He then had a chance to play in the slot where he could do his best work and did nothing in the last three games.

The Rams took a shot and missed it just did not work out.

The bad part is he took reps from Givens and Quick. We let Salas go, yeah I know he is on the practice squad. But he is one of the highest paid practice squad players for a reason. He will be on the team next year, where Smith is already being let go by the Rams and clearly is not part of the future. Smith will go back to the bench this week if we get no takers.

I'd love for the Rams to pick up Salas off the Patriots practice squad if for no other reason than to annoy Belicheick. Also I think he'd contribute more than Smith who looks done in the NFL.

some teams are better at drafting and signing quality players........NE seems to be one of them.

The injury had nothing to do with anything. The guy had 1 good year and everyone thinks he's the next Torry Holt.. He was a product of the offense, and it clearly shows.

torry hold is torry holt...

it looked like, since he got better and better, by year 3 he got it

then he got hurt the year after when he was going to have another 1,000+ yard season

i still think he's got it in him

maybe he's just not good in this offense....idk
