Rams should beat Jacksonville this Sunday.........

But, what will that truly mean? The better test for Fisher in getting this fixed will come in Houston the following week.
Beating Jacksonville will not really tell us if things are fixed but it will be a start. Then Carolina and Seahawks on the road.....I am not even thinking about any other victories sans Jacksonville before the bye BUT would love to see some competitive football from the Rams not buffoon mentality......2-8 seems realistic at the bye.........But better fundamental football with growth from the youngest team in NFL seems all to be hoped for at this point.......

To be honest I'm not sure the Rams are better than Jacksonville. They got blown out but they beat the Colts at the line of scrimmage repeatedly. Luck was scrambling and dancing around in the pocket all day and other than one long run by Brown the Jags were able to contain the run for the most part. They got a lot of push up the middle which is right where we like to "pound" the rock.

MJD is still dangerous and we can't stop the run at all. Gabbert even had some moments but his receivers made some bad hands and the balls were tipped to defenders.

The Rams are BAD. The Jags won't be an easy win.

At this point, I'll settle for a win. Anything extra will be gravy.

We all thought the Fortuniners game was the measuring stick. Not even, it's Jacksonville.

Thank goodness Jo-Lonn Dunbar will be signed tomorrow, he should help bring the tenacity this defense has been lacking the past few weeks.

Wow, that would would be, a) great, and, b) one less excuse for not winning!

Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Rams expected to re-sign Dunbar
    Sep. 29 - 11:07 p.m. ET

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Rams are expected to re-sign free agent OLB Jo-Lonn Dunbar on Monday.

The Rams cut Dunbar on September 3 after he was slapped with a four-game NFL suspension for violating the NFL's PED policy. Dunbar could take over as a starter immediately, replacing Will Witherspoon at right outside 'backer. Sep. 29 - 11:07 pm et

If we lose to Jacksonville I would strongly consider not watching another game this season...

That would be a bigger embarrassment than any loss in the Spags/Linehan era.. Jacksonville is the worst team in the league by a wide-margin.

Unfortunately, it seems our measuring stick has gone from "how high we can go", to "how low have we sunk."
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

If we beat Jacksonville, well, we should beat them. If we lose, we're back to league laughingstock status. A win is a win, as they say, but anything less than a CONVINCING win and I'm not hopeful the Rams are going to have the type of season many of us envisioned. If you can't beat an atrocious team on your home field after a 10 day break you may as well pack up shop.

Probably going to be a close game. Something tells me Jacksonville's running game will come alive especially right up the middle. All those high draft picks on the defensive line and MLB and the Rams still can't stop the run even when it's run right down their throats AND they know it's coming.

    I expect a win.

I'm hoping for a comfortable win. I think that would do wonders for this team's confidence, despite the fact that Jacksonville is a weak opponent.

I don't even want to think about losing this one.

The Rams are 7.5 -12 points favorites. So yeah you would hope this is a game where the Rams can gain some confidence. If they find a way to look bad and lose this one we will be in a free fall.

    We are not alone.
    Giants 0-4
    Falcons 1-3
    Skins 1-3
    Eagles 1-3
    Steelers 0-4
    Vikings 1-3

There are a few playoff teams on this list, we have to suck it up and start playing better. It's starts this week!
