The Rams should offer Bruce more $

    WHAT!?!?!?!

After all the debating and arguing that the offer made to Bruce was a good offer, now I'm saying the Rams should offer more?

    Yes.

The reason should be obvious. With the increased cap number, the Rams have more to spend accross the board, and should be able to sweeten the deal a bit for Bruce.

I'm not saying they should break the bank, but maybe they could increase the offer to something like 3 years, 12 million ($6 million/$3 million/$3 million).

    Wouldn't that make everyone happy?

I would think to not uproot your family at his age, and finish his career with the Rams, that a 6,3,3 would be in line with what he is looking for. I'm sure they will throw out something like that.

But it will just depend on how much another team is willing to overpay for him. These new dollars are crazy.

Didn't Bruce make the statement that he would play for league minimum in years 2 and 3 if he got 8 this year?

    So give it to him.....8/min./min.

    Not one cent more,
    show him the door,
    he won't be poor,
    cause he'll get more.

    The Rams should not grieve,
    there's plenty to receive,
and cash to fix the peeve,
    of a defense that's a sieve.

    To make the team strong,
    sentimentality is just wrong,
    cause we all long
    to sing a victory song.

So I hope he says "Goodbye"
    I surely will not cry.
On the plane he will fly,
and new players we will buy.

What exactly is he looking for? Did they promise him money? What's the deal with $8 million? Does that mean something?

I'd give him a 5 yr deal and a multimillion dollar contract, no lie, I said this before, and I'll say it again...Bruce is one of those guys that will play to the best of his ability, and will always be a leader, and desired by us especially but other teams as well, we MUST get him, this is our top priority.

Come on, Man. He's great and I love him, but......

Our defense is top priority. Period.
Sentimentality is nice, but it doesn't win games.

no I didn't mean like don't worry about Defense, what I mean is at the moment, this is our top priority to just get him back on the Rams before someone else claims him, I meant an individual player, not one player and then a whole side of the ball and saying whats more important, D is top priority overall, but I think its A top priority to get Bruce back, thats what i mean sorry for the confusion

This would be a sweet deal for Bruce if he turns this down, all you can say is goodbye.

I don't think we will go that high we'll see.

As much as i agree that the rams need to focus on the defense and solving all those holes in the secondary position, the rams owe it to bruce to have him finish his career as a ram. He has been so good to us and he is not one of the old timers who has been with the team but with little impact, he was a great receiver and is still decent, so the rams should sign him back so he can finish in the good old st. louis uniform.

I wouldn't give him more than 3 years $10 mill. 6-2-2 is IMO a very good offer. I know there are more desperate teams out there that would offer him more, but he has stated he wants to remain a RAM.

LOL I disagree with you mate, but if you keep posting stuff like that I'll enjoy it.

With the increased space we should pony up more this year and as little as possible in 2 and 3 so his cap hit is negligible and he retires a Ram.

    And yes, everyone is happy.................
