Rams signed TE Anthony Becht, formerly of the Buccaneers.
Becht, 30, was the Jets' first-round pick in 2000, but has made his mark in the league as a blocker. He'll compete with Joe Klopfenstein behind Randy McMichael. This should finally end Dominique Byrd's run in St. Louis.

I was just thinking the same thing,maybe we should cut Pace and take that money and sign 3 more TE'S.

If Byrd and Walker dont come back and Klop is traded for a pick then this is a good signing, otherwise its a cap space waste.

if you guys complain about one more te signing i swear. This guys is one HECK of a blocker and everyone in the league knows this. If you want to feature steven jackson you need blockers. How come some of you cannot see this? Saunders Featured 3 TE's on his roster in KC and all 3 of them could block like mad men. We only have 1.5 guys that can block. I Absolutely love this signing.

39 I am surprised because saying the Rams will sign another TE is laughable...yet we did it. So yeah, it is quite shocking to me.

3 TE is a luxury we can not afford.

We have an ageing roster coupled with several mediocre or poor drafts. We do not have the cap space to afford three TE's. We do feature Steven Jackson but we are a passing team that has bigger O-line issues than TE.

Regardless, I'll reserve judgement until I see how this guy is utilized....I do hear he is a good blocker. On the other hand, I agree with the dude who posted that a veritable plethora of TE's is a luxury a 3-13 team can not afford.

Becht isn't a bad player, but really now...another one!?! I would note that the coaching staff must not be that optimistic about Klopfenstein if they're bringing in competition for the number two spot.
