What an off-season. I guess this does mean though that we've given up on Jason Jones, though Langford is a fine fallback option.
Hoping Manningham is next.

Re: Rams sign DE Kedall Langford!
I kike the signing he is young and very good against the run from what I have read. I hope this does not mean we are not going to get Jason Jones. To get both of these guys would be a major upgrade.

54 sacks?!

Wait never mind, it also includes hits and hurries.
Still, the stats may not be impressive but if the guy can help bring pressure to the QB while Long and Quinn finish the job, we're going to have a top notch pass rush.

Here's the write up by Rotoworld
They seem to really like him.Rams signed DL Kendall Langford, formerly of the Dolphins, to a four-year, $24 million contract.
The deal includes $12 million guaranteed. Unsurprisingly, the Rams were able to outbid the penny-pinching Bengals. It's an extremely-nice haul for a player who took a small step back during the final year of his rookie deal last season, but solid signing for a team that let itself get long in the tooth along its defensive line the past few seasons. However, Langford will be forced to switch to a 4-3 defense after playing in a 3-4 in South Beach. Somewhat of a hybrid lineman, Langford has excelled as both a pass rusher and run stuffer during his career. His signing likely takes the Rams out of the running for free agent DL Jason Jones.

Langford played end in Miami's 3-4, but will be DT in St. Louis. Former Dolphins teammate Jason Taylor called him most underrated DE in NFL."...and a great new warrior emerged from the many, to carry the torch, and his name was Rammin' Jackson...and a new era had begun! Re: Rams sign DE Kedall Langford!
We definitely needed to add some youth at DT. It looks like a solid pick up. But, we definitely need to add a few more pieces to the DL.

Re: Rams sign Kendall Langford
He's a good pickup. Still has not reached his peak, and can play several roles on the D line.
If the Rams also sign Jones, I wonder if we might see some formations in which Robert Quinn lines up as an OLB/edge-rusher.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Rams sign Kendall Langford
Ive noticed Langford flash ability in games for the Dolphins before today. So Id imagine he has struggled with consistency at times. Im more than a little intrigued to see what he is capable of, playing in the 4-3 at DT. It definitely gives the Rams more options on defense because of his versatility.

He had an off year last year... I think we picked up a nice player.

The Miami Dolphins couldn’t afford to keep every member of its stingy defensive line this offseason.
The Dolphins lost defensive lineman Kendall Langford to the Rams.
That explains why former Dolphins defensive lineman Kendall Langford agreed to terms with the St. Louis Rams on Saturday.
According to ESPN, Langford will receive a four-year, $24 million deal, which features $12 million in guaranteed money (which is the only money that really matters in the NFL).
Langford, a four-year starter the Dolphins found in the third-round of the 2011 draft, will likely serve as a starter for the Rams, which is led by head coach Jeff Fisher. With Langford gone its possible that Jared Odrick, who contributed 21 tackles, six sacks and an interception last season, will become a full-time starter.
Odrick, the team’s 2010 first-round pick, and Langford were part of an six-player defensive line rotation for the Dolphins last season. That front line was the primary reason the Dolphins finished third against the run last season, limiting opponents to 3.7 yards per carry, and sixth against the run in 2010.
