Much more of a enforcer in the secondary, which is a big change from O.J Atogwe. Much more of a Spags type defender in my book. The Rams look to be in the market for OLB upgrades aswell.
Spags is slowly adding better talent to our weakness's and is doing a good job in adding Mikell.
1. Quintin Mikell, Philadelphia Eagles: The oldest guy on this list is at #1? Yes, his age has to be considered, but the performance he turned in this season trumps all else. Mikell was equally impressive as a run defender and as a cover man, leading our grading in both departments. With most safeties clearly stronger in one area or the other, Mikell stands out as a legit all-around talent and his eight seasons of experience position him well as a mentor if surrounded by youth. Because of his age, he won’t get the long deal that some others on this list will, but he’ll find a suitor happily willing to pay him handsomely to solidify their secondary.
WONDERFUL signing!!!
Mikell is an absolutely brilliant signing. He is a Spags guy and I am sure he will shine in this defense. Plus he better help out our offense against the Eagles D because he has been there for 10 years and we play them week 1.
Great signing for us, I am fired up.... Next up, Reggie Bush.
I feel we are an OLB away from having a really, really good defense.....OLB and Coefield....
offensive RB#2 and WR !!!!
Great news! The Rams need a guy like this in the secondary.
HMMM seeing reports of 28mil. Seems steep to me.
Awesome news. I cannot wait until its official. I was hopping they were going to sign him. Great signing another Spags guy.
Go Rams 2011

This is an awesome signing. 2008 and 2010 All-Pro, 2009 Pro Bowl, big hitter, and a special teams monster. Plus, he could provide intel for the game on opening day. We hit the jackpot on this one. Now, let's keep the momentum going!
I absolutely love this signing. With Dahl at SS and the drafting of a backup SS does this mean we can cut Butler and open up more cap space. He counts like 3 mil on the cap this year I think, if we cut him we can cover most of Mikells contract for this season.
I love this move, now my brother on the other hand is a eagles fan and he hates this move/me LOL.I have gotten to know him during his time in philly from my brother and yes he is def a good player and probably more of a consistent player than OJ.Doesnt have the ball skills or big play ability but sure tackler and great in run support and all around very fundamentally sound and i think he will add some toughness also.
