    Rams sign TE

    Rams sign TE Darius Williams from Ga Tech. Height / Weight:
    6-6 / 270. Made it through Giants camp and was a final cut. Can't find too much more inforamtion yet.

    AT TECH: Tech's starting tight end as a senior in 2004 . . . Used primarily as a blocker . . . Has good size . . . Invited to play in the Gridiron Classic all-star game in Orlando, Fla. . . . Signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants.

    2004: Made six catches for 81 yards (13.5-yard average) . . . Caught two passes for 45 yards against Virginia Tech, including a career-long 30-yard completion . . . Had a 16-yard reception against Miami . . . Also had catches against North Carolina, Connecticut and Syracuse.

    2003: Tech's backup tight end behind John Paul Foschi . . . Started three games when Tech opened in two-tight end sets . . . Had three catches for 37 yards . . .     :football: DW for now is a [big] body to fill in for our Roland Williams and Jeff Robinson mishaps. Not as experienced, of course, but should hopefully play the TE basics well.
