Rams sign undrafted free agent FB Brandon McAnderson

Former Kansas University and Lawrence High football standout Brandon McAnderson has agreed in principle to a free-agent deal with the NFL's St. Louis Rams.

McAnderson, a 6-foot, 235-pound fullback, was a 1,000-yard rusher for the Jayhawks, but was not picked in the seven-round NFL Draft this weekend. St. Louis showed immediate interest in signing him as a free agent once the draft concluded.

1,000 yd rusher as a fuillback is pretty impressive, even though as stated, he really wasn't used that way at Kansas. The Rams FB Position needed to be addressed, hopefully this acquisition pans out.

As a Kansas graduate I can tell you that everyone will love McAnderson. He might not make the team, but he'll play hard and is *very* difficult to bring down.

As far as him not being a fullback primarily, that's crap. He was a lead blocker for at least two years before getting a lot of carries last year, primarily as a TB. He's a tough runner (no east-west, all north south) that is very difficult to bring down.

That is an interesting bit on SENE , another G ? with all the guard pickups , BELL signed , SCHUENNING and GRECO( will most likely go to 3rd tackle immediately ) and now SENE .

That might be a hint that SETTERSTROM and/or INCOGNITO move to start at CENTER and have ROMBERG as backup since he only signed a 1-year offer . But SENE might just be a a project with upside that can be brought along slowly, remember we drafted SHACKLEFORD last year to do that but he was just bad .

Also , I had the RAMS targeting SENE's teammate , REDD , LB/RDE in the late late rounds as a rushing DE .
