Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports free agent DT Grady Jackson (Packers) said the St. Louis Rams have now entered the picture to obtain his services. Jackson said the Green Bay Packers have not called him about returning.

I would love this signing if the money is right, just what we need to tie up blockers and free up Spoon to roam

On the move: Nose tackle Grady Jackson did not sign with another team Monday, in part because he drew interest from another club.

According to Jackson, the St. Louis Rams called and are interested in meeting with him to fill a defensive line position. The Rams are in the market for a tackle after losing free agent Ryan Pickett to the Packers.

Jackson said the Packers had not called him about returning.

The Rams need to get bigger on the D-line to take blockers off of our smaller LBs. Signing 345 lb. Grady Jackson or 335 lb. Sam Adams would accomplish this.

I hope they don't spend too much though seeing as both of these refrigerators are reaching the point in their careers where DT's typically start a major decline.

I agree , for the most part, Zig; but, unfortunately, now that the Rams pulled the tweetie bird (Cheap! Cheap!) with Pickett we don't have much choice regarding this issue. It looks like we are going to have to over pay some behemoth because, as you said, we have smallish LBs that need to be protected. I still don't understand why we gave Fakhir Brown $12 million and low-balled R. Pickett.

No. He and his agent reported that we are interested in him.
