on field matters i feel pretty confident in my knowledge of the game but off-field stuff im as clueless as a blowfish....does seem pretty low,like that figure would be enough for Long and Avery,perhaps Greco.. mind like i said..im not clued up in all the F.O.kinda stuff!

Exactly Nick, it's their cap charge for THIS year only. We can pay them whatever we want starting next year.
Case in point, Jake Long's contract is only $3 million on this year's cap, despite being over $10 million/year on average(I think, I actually forget what it was, wasn't it like $56M over 5 years?).
