Re: Rams Trivia - Share What You Know
Don't know if this is really a trivial note: but DT Bryce Fisher when he played for the rams also was a PA officer at the 131st FW at lambert AP where I work at, I have seen him on a few occasions. I remember seeing him help us deploy for an exercise down to Gulfport MS a few years ago. Needless to say he was a big guy! He is now working on an air force base out in seattle now.

Re: Rams Trivia - Share What You Know
Not a popular fact, but I think Georgia was the first and only female owner?

Re: Rams Trivia - Share What You Know
MoonJoe, I believe you're right on that one (my Auntie Georgia being the first NFL lady owner).
HEISMAN TROPHY WINNERS:How many Heisman Trophy winners have played for the Rams at one time or another? -- RR
Well, Eric Crouch, Nebraska (2001), he DOES N-O-T COUNT! Almost reached instant status of 'infamous'.
Doug Flutie, BC (1984), traded before playing for the Rams; went on to a good career w/several teams.
John Cappelletti, Penn St. (1973), a consistent, hard-nose RB; short yardage grinder for the Rams.
Gary Beban, UCLA (1967), a promising QB, was also traded in 1968 before playing with the Rams.
Terry Baker, Oregon St. (1962), project QB and RB, played for us with little productivity, 1963-65.
Les Horvath, Ohio St. (1944), played two seasons as a RB for us, 1947-48. A good man.Last edited by RealRam; -10-08-2009 at 03:37 PM.

:1: 1967. The formidable L. A. Rams, with their Fearsome Foursome and all...
Points scored: 398 -- most in the NFL (14 games).
Points allowed: 196 -- fewest in the NFL (ditto).
We lost only one regular season game that year. I was a teen so elated and proud of the Rams; was so excited to believe we were going to Super Bowl III!

Re: Rams Trivia - Share What You Know
Rams 24 - Seahawks 0. But wait -- there's more! I mean, less...
Rams hold Seattle, in their house, to MINUS 7 YARDS total offense!

Is that possible?
You better believe it! For those that don't remember / don't know, see link:

Re: Rams Trivia - Share What You Know
Dan Reeves and Fred Levy purchased the Rams in 1941. The co-owners requested a suspension of operations for the Rams 1943 season as both went into military service. The NFL agreed and the Rams did not field a team for the 1943 season as there was also a shortage of players due to the war. Many of the Rams players were loaned to other teams in the 1943 season. Reeves eventaully bought out Levy, but acquired various partners in ownership throughout the years. At one time, Bob Hope was a part owner in the Rams. Reeves owned the Rams until his death in 1971.

Re: Rams Trivia - Share What You Know
AV, good one on Kosher. Let's see... Eagles, no. Lions, no. Bears, no. Broncos or Colts, no. Ravens or Seahawks, no. Bengals, Jaguars or Panthers, no. Cardinals??? No. Hawks, no. Dolphins, no.
It would have to be the mascot for the Bills, an American planes buffalo. Kosher! Now the Texans' logo is a bull, also kosher, but that's not their mascot, correct?
The ram then is probably the "most" kosher.

Re: Rams Trivia - Share What You Know
Yeah, Buffalo's mascot is technically a person (Buffalo Bill), but their unofficial mascot has always been the bison, which is kosher.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!
