I suspect he destroyed them because he didn't want them to leak to the press. One clip already had of a cameraman focusing on a Jets coach giving signals to his unit and then the camera panning up to the scoreboard to record the situation that went with those signals. It was probably easier for the story to potentially go away with the tapes gone and punishment dealt out.

Shall I add another twist into this? Believe me no facts are based off this. But, I wonder... Why did Paul Tagliabue retire when he did? He was still young enough to be the commish for many more years. It's not like he had a better job offer. Just decided it was time.

Maybe he got tired of lying...

There are so many questions about this, and the ONLY way to clear all of these up is to uncover the complete truth. That would mean a lot of investigation, which I think Goodell was trying to avoid by destroying the tapes, and he was hoping it would all die down.
Well it hasn't, and it's now stronger than before, and maybe... just maybe... Goodell knows it's time to find out what really happened.

lol! Guess it helps there are not that many education videos

And I put it under there as education in more hope of hiding it from those NFL "YouTube scouts" who take down those videos with anything NFL in them.

It is now at the top of page three. Won't be long before it is on page two.

Ha ha, didn't expect the video to grow at this rate! Here is tonight's update:
Currently at 1,000 (exactly) views, was ranked as high as #30 for "education" videos for Feb. 06.
Ranked 5 stars, favorited twice (thanks St.Louis Ram 56 for one of those!), and 500+ hits directly from an ESPN affiliated sports message board.

Not sure if ESPN looked at it, but a site that is an official affiliate with ESPN has been talking about it for a while.
Only 28 watches today, I suspect that it's died down, and will only get viewed by the occasional passer-byer.

Alright, I think everybody on here that has wanted to see the video has seen it, so now I'm going to have a little bit of fun with it and see what happens

I'm going to add a lot of tags that should allow the video to be found in searches now (such as "Patriots" "Spygate" "Cheat" etc...).
Now people who don't know the direct link will find it easily, and this means that the NFL will probably find it here in a few days and have it removed for copyright violations.
People should begin to see the video popping up by Tuesday afternoon or so.
If anybody wants the video sent to them in email (to save on your computer), I can do that. Just send me a PM with your email and I'll get to it ASAP.
Let SPYGATE II live on and don't let the NFL forget it owes the Rams JUSTICE!

the site was stlouisrams.net and your right it is no longer there. It was also a conspiracy theory site about 9-11. Maybe thats why it got taken down.
