i would be happy with the D, and I am....but this game showed that even if the defense shuts down the other team...offense too inept to score with all the dropping passes and whatnot

    Can't disagree with you there.

What I'm guessing was Stacy was to injured to be productive, so essentially he was a decoy on the last play. I mean, why else would he not get the ball inside the 5 rather than Richardson. However, if he's a decoy why would you take him out of the backfield and make it clear to the defense that he's not getting the ball.

If he's not injured, there is no excuse as to why you wouldn't give him the ball in that situation. I would've with all confidence.

I think the coaches are the ones that need to get angry.

Dropped passes are inexcusable, too many penalties, and IMO questionable play calling at the goal line.

The guys played their hearts out, but damn if mistakes did not make the difference. Coaching has to instill an attitude of perfection.

2 trips to the goal line and only 3 points?

    geez...

i know if zurlein didn't miss the 50 yarder then all they needed was another FG

but man, score ONE TD...that's all they needed

This game has shown that no matter how good a defense is, backup quarterbacks are backup quarterbacks for a reason.

Defense played their asses off tonight and can hold their heads up. But with a backup QB, they played the best team in the NFC tooth and nail, in fact, they outplayed the Hawks.

With Bradford in there tonight, the Rams win that game handily.

But I'm still miffed about that last play call. You place the game in the hands of Quick on a fade route after running the ball so well all game? I'm sorry, but he's either not too bright, or not as talented as everyone thought. Quick seems to be totally lost out there. I knew the play was doomed when they lined up in an empty backfield.

I'm not happy, but I will give the Rams D kudos for playing their butts off.

Re: Rams vs Shesquawks Gameday Thread. 10/28/13

The loss and mistakes were disappointing but this team is still incredibly young and I think the drops and confusion on offense will decrease when these guys get more experience and a crappy backup QB isn't leading the unit. If I had any hopes that the Rams could still make the playoffs this year then I would probably be really angry at this loss but those vanished last week so now I'm just happy that the defense finally looked like themselves for the first time in 2013 and that Zac Stacy looks like the real deal.

Re: Rams vs Shesquawks Gameday Thread. 10/28/13

Funny nobody is pointing out that our kicker missed a FG that shouldn't have been missed, just like those passes that shouldn't have been dropped, or the passes that shouldn't have been poorly thrown. If Greg Z makes that kick, there's no need for that pass at the end of the game. A FG wins it.

This is why the Rams are the Rams. They totally outplay the Hawks and still manage to find a way to lose.

We have this backup QB because he's Schotty's frat brother or something.
