we're down 2...the niners basically had 2 good plays in the first half and got dominated otherwise. if we can get a grip on those we can tough this one out.

another big problem is our d's lack of creating turnovers...man, we had a number of good chances to do just that in the first half. how many times did troy smith put the ball on the ground? d needs to come away with one or two of those.

Shurmer sucks at playcalling ... I know the receivers cant get much separation but instead of crossing routes... Run out patterns, some hitches in there idk a couple of slants....

The issue w/ this philosophy is that the Rams have been doing this all year and S.F. has adjusted by going to their dime package & covering spots on the field....so now crossing patters don't work nor can you go deep. Unless we can begin to run the ball w/ consistancy we won't be able to get them into a more favorable defense to pass in.

Slim to none. The Rams just aren't good enough.

Finally some honesty on this thread. May of our friends fail to realize this.

The Rams are extremely limited on what they can do offensively. The ***** like everybody else we've played recently know that. They just need to contain the short stuff. Without turnovers and more penalties the Rams are sunk.

Let me just add, I'm more than a bit annoyed that the Rams staff is being out-coached by Singletary. That just shouldn't happen.

You're spot-on, but for some reason we don't get the lucky break like the sack on Smith and missing the ball on the ground. I'm still hoping.

Well the answer is: lack of talent.
I say it every week, but you can have great scheme's & play calling but you have to have the talent to make it work & to sustain it. If you compare the teams to a man they have the better talent.

I disagree. Lack of talent was the excuse last year. I've seen us find a way to lose the game late many a time this year. We didn't lose to Arizona in week 1 because we didn't have the talent. We didn't lose the Oakland game because we lacked the talent. We didn't lose the Tampa Bay game because we lacked the talent. We're not losing today because we lack talent.

Look at a team like the Patriots. Other than Brady, they really don't have a whole lot of big time talent. Look at a team like the Vikings, who are loaded. Night and day my friend, and it has nothing to do with the player's physical capabilities.

Now I know we're weak in a couple spots, WR and secondary respectively, but I think we can all agree we are at least competitive enough with who we have. Unfortunately, this team does not appear to have that quiet, aggressive, competitive jen es se qua that separates the good teams from the great, dominant teams...
