    Rams waive Leber

Per rotoworld, via Jim Thomas on twitter:

    Rams waived LB Ben Leber.

Leber was a huge disappointment for the Rams after signing a one-year, $1.25 million deal in training camp, and was sent to the bench in favor of Chris Chamberlain in Week 6. He had been alternating between being a reserve and healthy scratch the past six weeks. Four days shy of his 33rd birthday, the sun is rapidly setting on Leber's productive 10-year NFL career.

Was waived to bring Brandstater up from the practice squad.

Well good thing we kept him over Jabara Williams!

Who runs a better organization than us?

Getting rid of Jabara Williams over this guy.? Another poor decision by the FO in my opinion. Although their hands were tied because of injuries, and the desperation stakes were rising by the week.?
Its just a shame it had to go down this way. I thought Williams was one of the very few players on the roster, who had decent upside at OLB.?
Im betting that is the reason Lovie Smith took him of waivers.?

Another solid move by the Rams FO. Get rid of Jermale Hines in favour of James Butler, and Jabara Williams in favour of Ben Leber.

Just another one of the disappointing moves that didn't pay off.

and yet many people arguing in favor of keep the current F.O. and Spags. True definition of insanity-- you keep repeating the same things over and over that yields the same outcomes.

I think it's safe to say the case against DeSpags is gathering steam.

I do not see any rhetoric in debate form for keeping DeSpags but it is puzzling that recent poll on the forum depicted many that want to keep Spags. An anonymous poll but no posts that explain their salient and cogent thoughts behind this mindset.

Man oh man......the handling of the OLBs this year has been one major black eye for this group. Made ever so clear by the fact that it all happened in the same year. Sometimes mistakes can be covered up as one season passes to another. But when Diles, Leber, and (the handling of) Williams all happens in ONE year, no way to cover that up.
"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Have to say though, despite all the issues with some of the OLBs, i do like how well Chamberlain is playing recently

Agreed. He's been a good player. He's not a superstar, but being a 7th round draftee, he's played really well.

I also wish we kept Vobora.
