    Rams waived LB Jabara Williams

    Is this room for Clayton?

Or is there some other reason why they did this today ?

Maybe room for Clayton or Johnson. However i would have thought they would release Brandon Gibson to make room for Clayton.

I don't understand this, Williams had his moments this pre season and showed some promise. Then again maybe that's the problem

At any rate I don't see what in the world is keeping James Butler on this team. Is he still alive or what?

Man, we dump another youngin' and keep more worthless junk....

I only hope he makes it to the practice squad.? I had higher hopes for this kid, so Im not best pleased.
The second day of our draft was one of the worst in the league this year unfortunately.?
    GO RAMS.

Yeah i also wanted to see him get some playing time. Maybe they are going to sign another LB soon.

The St. Louis Rams have waived rookie linebacker Jabara Williams, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. A seventh-round pick (228th overall) out of Stephen F. Austin, Williams had 11 tackles in the preseason, including a team-high three on special teams, which earned him a spot on the 53-man roster. Inactive for the first four games, Williams has been active the last two weeks, but has not recorded any statistics. Williams is eligible to be re-signed to the practice squad.

I hope that there is not so much pressure on Devaney to show improvement this year that he trades our young players with potential for "has been" talent. Haven't we already let a couple of young players go to sign veterans?

Do you honestly believe Greg Salas is going to become anything more than a good No.3.? He is hardly going to be a difference maker week in, week out.? I know Im becoming a little harsh on some of the players recently, but the truth is Im speaking completely without heart at the moment. Thinking with my heart has led me down the wrong path, way too often.?
The Rams need better players than Salas to become winners, lets be honest.?

Maybe it's time for Devaney to start changing his draft philosophy because picking linebackers that are refugees from the NFC North and the late round draft picks are going nowhere. If he doesn't adapt, he's going to get the boot out of St. Louis along with Spags.

Whatever the reason for releasing Williams, other than Laurinaitis, the LB position has been a disaster.

To be honest, shouldn't we give Salas a chance before he's deemed an also-ran player? He's progressed by leaps and bounds from the disaster that was the Giants game. IMO, he has the makings of a very effective weapon.

Mark Levoir played in 32 games for the Pats from 2008-2010 , so he should know the offense.

Although he only started 2 games, he is 6ft 7in guard that could help with rotation and scheme for the Rams...

Heck, anything to push our current guys is a plus
