Re-grade the decision
Now that Linehan has filled the OC, and DC jobs. Does he grade better or worse?

Re: Re-grade the decision
Not sure on this yet. Too many questions remain in my mind. Although, I'm not too worried. I like Linehan's attitude. As for Hasslett, Let's just see. To be honest, I can't see how he could be any worse than what we've had for the past couple of years. Maybe he can light a fire under or defenses collective butt.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

I think it was a shrewd move to bring in Haslett.

Re: Re-grade the decision
I gave a B. I'd like to give a higher grade, but I don't really think it's too fair until he coaches a game. I think he's said all the right things since he's been here. I like that he's hired an experienced DC with some attitude. I'm not sure what to make of Greg Olson (haven't done any background checking yet). I won't hold QB coach for Joey Harrington against him just yet. Anyway, I liked everything he's said in his press conference and in other interviews. I can't wait for the season to start!!

Re: Re-grade the decision
I think bringing in Haslett (who I think should be the assistant HC) will help balance things out in the coaching staff.
As crappy as the aints were, their D was usually competitive, at least against us.
It will be a very interesting season.JUST WIN ONE FOR THE FANS

Re: Re-grade the decision
I give the decision an A-. I'm not sure what kind of job Haslett is going to do on the defensive side of the ball, but I think the Rams made a good move bringing in someone with experience to counter with a rather inexperienced head coach.

Now that we have our DC, I give it an A-.
Like the fact that we went with an Offensive minded HC mostly because that is where the talent is and the window is closing.
Like the DC hired Haslett, big time upgrade over LARRY MARMIE.
OC, well that really does not matter it’s really is Linehan.
WR coach is still Ram great Ellard.
ST coach pending.
Personnel director pending

A-.
So far, so fair. I should have gone for B.

Re: Re-grade the decision
I graded it a B, one lower than my previous A-, only because Jim Haslett was not the best of the best options out there. I still like both hires, and am actually very relieved afterwards that the FO didn't screw up big time, which I half expected. Nonetheless, Linehan is still very green, Olson doesn't have much to show for himself [but I also read Dick Jauron wanted him as OC, if that means anything], and I have doubts that Haslett can make this defense competitive in only one offseason.

Re: Re-grade the decision
I like the hiring of Haslett. He's a no-nonsense, intense ex-player, who has proven his ability to build very good defenses.

Re: Re-grade the decision
Hiring of HC = A-; Hiring of DC = A; Hiring of OC = D-; WR coach and strength coach = B. Overall so far = B-, but hopefully that grade will go up with subsequent hires.
