    Reason to watch Monday night - Rookie RBs

    It has been interesting to watch the rookie running backs this year. The Rams gave up a draft choice to get Steven Jackson, and people early on lambasted Detroit and the Cowboys for not drafting Jackson. Early lack of production from the other rookie backs was mainly due to injuries so no real way to compare.

    Jackson has been good, but with K. Jones 196 this week, and Jones getting near that last week, they both look like they could be special. We'll get more of a read on J. Jones on Monday night.

    The question isn't whether Jackson wasn't a good pickup, the question is whether with the Rams depth issues, it wouldn't have been better to keep the draft choice and have drafted Jones or

    Kevin Jones is going to be a good back, but I still like Jackson.

    Julius Jones is way to brittle.

    I don't think Jones is as good in pass protection as Jackson, and with our offensive line, I'm more comfortable with a guy like Jackson in there than I would be Jones, as I believe Jackson is able to take more punishment and gain more with a weaker offensive line.
