Reasons Why We'll Be Good

If this is the "New Look Rams" we are in trouble. No team comes out of pre-season looking this bad. So this thread is calling out everyone to tell us why this will be a good team?

The only thing I can think is the Rams aren't showing other teams the secret "New Look Rams."

Why will we be a good team?

That's a tough question LA; I HOPE that they kick ass in practice this week.

I was listening to the game; a few names stood out. Alston, Victor A, Wahlroos, Wroten, and Butler, on defense, and Fisher, Russel, and Klopf on offense.

We have talent, they just need to put it all together now.

At least we have an excellent kicker, just get us into field goal range.

Do I see a 9-0 score looming on the horizon.........

Re: Reasons Why We'll Be Good

Hmm I wish I could honestly say I think the rams will be great. I always tell everyone here in MI that the rams are going undefeated and then list off all of the players we got and all of the players coming back and the coaches etc etc but honestly with a new coach new defence pretty much what can we really expect. I would like atleast a wild card that would be nice but with all of the changes and in such key places I guess I just don't see it guys... Come on blue and gold prove me wrong

Re: Reasons Why We'll Be Good

Ever play poker LA Ram? Its all a giant Poker game. He showed his first cards in the Colts game. Then he layed down enough for people to look that other way. In the final game and I agree what he did, Lineham used the 2nd and third teams to play the game.

Basically it was meaningless for the ones.

Give me this team with two newbies on the Oline ( Baron and Cogs)

a veteran RG with total knowledge of the game and is aware of what he can and can't do.

Healthy Holt and Bruce

Healthy FB Hopefully its Hedgecock, guy simple destroys any LB in the league when he is healthy

The above combinations are enough to take the 8 out of the box and then the big boys should generate some good yardage like they did against the Colts when all of the above were healthy and in the game.

Re: Reasons Why We'll Be Good

It's the preseason.

I remember the whiners struggling through a preseason once or twice and reading too much into it in the late 80's early 90's. Results don't matter as much as perfromances at this stage.

Not overly concerned.

Will be if we go 0-3 though in the regular season.

Re: Reasons Why We'll Be Good

This offense (with an improved line) can keep the Rams in any game. If the D can improve even marginally it should be a decent year. Lets not get DELUSIONAL with super bowl speak...but this team has a bright future. Growing pains sure to come with a first timer as HC...as long as he doesnt challenge the spot on the opening kick off we are moving in the RIGHT DIRECTION!!

no, seriously, this is not madden football where all
measurables fall within a finely defined parameters
of 1 and 0 s...chance and luck will play a big factor in winning
some games where we shouldn't on paper and vice versa...

this is why i watch the game...it's the unpredictability
of the bounce of the ball that's got me hooked...
