    Redskins Remaining Schedule

With the Redskins at 1-4, it is quite possible our hopes will come true and the Rams can pick up another top 10 pick from the RGIII trade. I would like to break down the remaining schedule of redskins and get your guys take on it.

    7 Bears ( L)
    8 AT Broncos (L)
    9 Chargers (W)
    10 AT Vikings (W)
    11 AT Eagles (W)
    12 ***** (L)
    13 Giants (W)
    14 Chiefs (L)
    15 AT Falcons (L)
    16 Cowboys (L)
    17 AT Giants (L)

We are looking at a realistic 4-12, 5-11 Redskings ballclub. This team has no defense whatsoever. Anybody else see this playing out differently?

    Re: Redskins Remaining Schedule

Their defense sure didnt look terrible to me last night, especially in light of the points Dallas' offense put on the board against Denver the week before. To me, the key to the Redskins season is how healthy they stay. If they get unlucky injury wise, no question, they could go completely down the toilet. On the other hand, if RG III gets better as the knee improves, they could win a few more games than you have projected. That said, i think there is a realistic shot we get a top 10 pick out of them and maybe better. Not sure by the way why you think they are going to beat the eagles on the road but lose to the giants on the road. At the rate injuries are killing the falcons season, that is another winnable game for them.

3-12 is very possible. Just sayin. The offense appears to be in complete turmoil at this point.
Problem is there are so many 0-fer teams, it's screwing with our draft position.

Unlikely to happen but I hope they lose out.

    Re: Redskins Remaining Schedule

First does anyone still think taking RGIII was the better move then to have traded him away for all the draft picks? Its possible RGIII might not come back and there still is a long road ahead of him and further risk of injury. There is little the Redskins are doing on offense and either Shanahan or RGIII might get disparate and put him at higher risk.

Maybe at the high end they will finish 7-9 with perhaps a 6-10 finish...either way bodes well for the Rams draft prospects. Its too early to tell who has grabbed my attention in the college ranks that would be on my "wish list". Considering who might be available it might be another "deal" in the offering where the Rams can make another RGIII trade 2.0 My concern has always been salary cap and another high pick eventually means you will have to pay him. Right now the Rams need value and not sure an extra pick would give the Rams that value.

I can't recall where the Rams sit with Bradford and his contract, but its not a bad idea for the Rams to be looking at ALL possibilites

rams now have an extra pick regardless

the more the redskins lose, the better the pick, and the greater the leverage

    leverage is good

can be a good draft choice, or get some pieces and trade down

or a straight up pick for some good players that have proven themselves for a few seasons already

Watching last nights game, I just couldn't get over how wobbly Griffen's throws were. Every single one came out offline and like a wounded duck. I'm okay with that though. My second favorite team this year is whoever is playing the Skins!

Their defense is waking up. Haslett is too good of a DC to let them play bad for long. Their oline other than Williams is as bad or worse than ours. That schedule though is very rough. I could see a 5-11 or 6-10 season for them. Looking at our schedule I'd say we're looking at at 6-10 or 7-9 maybe better if we stay consistent, we haven't so far this year.

Great News with RG 2 not playing well that should set us up well to potentially get a Jake Mathews type of player.

While everone drafts all those QBs that are going to be busts we are set up to get OL. that will be huge.

    2014 Draft
1st Round (first pick) Jake Mathews, Tackle, Texas A&M
Trade second pick back and pick up another 2nd or 3rd
1st Round (second pick) Cyril Richardson, Guard, Baylor or
    Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State
    2nd round -
Bishop Sankey, RB, Washington or Michael Dyer, RB, Louisville
    2nd round - A CB or Saftey

Fire Scottemheimer and hire an offensive mind from an organization like NE/Denver/NO/GB

The Chargers just beat the Colts so I wouldn't call that a W just yet. The Skins also got crushed by the Eagles to start the season.

I don't see them beating the Charger or Eagles. There D isn't good enough. Simple as that.

    Re: Redskins Remaining Schedule

I believe they started 3-6 last year and ended up winning the division. So I'm not quite ready to count them out just yet, though I am hopeful they don't win another game.
