    Religion and Politics

As a friendly reminder, the topics of religion and politics are off-limits here at ClanRam. Experience has demonstrated that these topics are far too volatile and divisive.

Sometimes, a news story (i.e. Michael Sam's announcement) implicates political and religious views. While we don't wish to squelch discussions about the football side of these types of stories, we ask that you refrain from expressing your personal religious and/or political viewpoints when discussing topics of this type.

Remember, we're all here because we're fans of the NFL and the Rams. Let's try to stick to that common ground.

    Thanks.

    Separation of Church and Rams.

Always a good policy, even within a sports blog such as ours, to keep it clean and civilized. It may be very difficult sometimes to draw the line between acceptable and non-acceptable commentaries since the elements of one (religion & politics) and the other (Rams) are extremely inherent and closely tied together, as is the case with some players' lifestyle and beliefs; Aeneas Williams, for example; Kurt Warner, Rosey Grier, et al. Naturally, their NFL careers and personal lives are intertwined as one.

Hence the criteria importance of the Moderator. ...Thanks for the reminder. Will try to abide.

It's simple. Talk about football. Talk about how they play football. Leave the rest for you and your friends.

    Don't forget Isaac Bruce!
On the night of Dec. 7 Bruce and his girlfriend, Clegzette Sharpe, attended a Missouri basketball game in Columbia and headed east-bound on I-70 for the 115-mile trip back to St. Louis. Shortly after the drive began the left rear tire of Bruce's Mercedes blew, and the car skidded out of control toward a gully. Remembering advice his mother had given him long ago, Bruce, who was not wearing his seat belt, took his hands off the steering wheel, raised them into the air and screamed, "Jesus!" The car flipped twice and landed upright in the gully, and though the air bags never deployed and the convertible roof collapsed, Bruce walked away without a scratch and Sharpe suffered only a small cut on her forehead.
