Return guy?
Anyone have any idea who our return guy will be now that Gilyard was cut.
He returned just about everything in the preseason so who will take his place? Will Amendola keep the job from last season? I haven't even seen Norwood return anything so I have no idea what their plans are with him, besides 3RB ofcourse.

Re: Return guy?
I'm guessing at best Amendola will take the punt returns while Norwood will do the kickoffs.

Re: Return guy?
I bet amendola for both. That's who was doing it during the scrimmage and last practice.

It was always going to be Amendola.

Re: Return guy?
Norwood? Not sure I want Danny out there.
If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Now add on that team did it with seven different QB's in seven straight years, that record is unbeatable. To do that feat, you must of had a great Defense. Jack Youngblood was the captain of that defense.

Re: Return guy?
It going to be Danny per Spags.
In preseason games, receiver Mardy Gilyard has been returning kicks, but Spagnuolo said that's not a knock on Amendola.
"We haven't used him on special teams as much in preseason, but I'm sure you'll see him the regular season," Spagnuolo said. "He's special that way. He wants to do it. He wants to be out there every play so when you have a guy like that, you use him as much as you can."

Thanks Rambos. Guess I missed that.

Well, how do you argue that.
Returns just got a lot more exciting ...If a team won their division seven straight times, that would be a NFL record. Re: Return guy?
One of the reasons I wanted us to keep Mardy was because I didn't want Amendola returning kicks. I hope we settle on a different returner, Amendola is too valuable for that.

Re: Return guy?
What about our DBs. Who would be a good return man from the CB / Safety squads?

Re: Return guy?
Always afraid Amendola will get killed. He dosen't know he's too small to play in the NFL.
Patient, not saintly.

Re: Return guy?
With Salas showing in the preseason that he can grab some short throws and power for a few yards after the catch through tackles, Salas might get some time in as the slot guy if Amendola gets tired. Plus it'll get Salas out there and getting some valuable reps with Sam. I don't know what Devaney's policy is going to be with keeping guys around when they want big contracts, but if Salas works out as a good 2nd string Amendola, he just might become the 1st string Salas when Amendola's contract is up.
I believe!
