Return of an old OC?
ESPN is reporting that Mike Martz is pretty much needing an awesome day today by Kitna as well as his public and private campaigning to stand a chance at returning on 2008. I've said on here before that I'd love to get Martz back for his offensive schemes. If he's fired, then we can get him back as an OC, where he belongs, and with the personnel he knows can run it to perfection. Lord knows that we'll have a better offense with Martz calling the plays than with Linehan.

While we're at it, let's get in touch with the people at Skynet and implant cybernetics into all of our players so that we don't have to deal with injuries ever again. Sounds just about as likely.

.
Martz won't be brought back here - not in a million years, however, it's terrible what long time, perennial loser Detroit is doing in making a scapegoat out of Martz.
Look at what their Defense did! Jon Kitna is not a top-flight QB to be polite about it.
Interesting in that GM, Matt Millen gets a hunderd years to succeed and HC Marinelli certainly hasn't succeeded right out of the gates - yet they come down on Martz so quickly?
Look for KC to fire everyone but Herm Edwards in another move where the HC doesn't take responsibility and passes the buck. Brian Billick has done this several times in Baltimore and look where it got the Ravens. The fire everyone but the guys in charge is a gutless move that doesn't seem to produce, it's buying time.Last edited by Tony Soprano; -12-30-2007 at 03:00 PM.

Re: Return of an old OC?
What happens to all the X Ram player now? Will they follow Martz? Bruce said he would just go play for Martz. If Martz ends up in whiner land will Bruce go there?
Hell no!

Re: Return of an old OC?
Honestly at this point, I'd actually be excited for him to come back. And in many ways...that is quite sad.

Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis Rams

Martz won't be back. I hope he gets an OC position and becomes a head coach again someday. He has quite the winning record.

Re: Return of an old OC?
we have a better chance of scoring points in the second half than we do of seeing Martz back with the Rams.
