Richie Incognito "Don't List"
Seems like Cogs is one of those people that needs every little thing spelled out to him.
1. Don't spit in the opponents face
2. Don't bite the opponent
3. Don't eye gouge the opponent
4. Don't kick, knee, or punch the opponents in the unmentionables
5. Don't hold
6. Don't jump offsides
7. Don't clip
8. Don't crackback block
9. Don't take off or throw your helmet
10 Don't be a Donkey
any more???Last edited by laram0; -08-07-2007 at 07:52 PM.

11) Don't listen to the haters. Kick ass and takes names....it's what great linemen do.
12) Absolutely don't stop coming to the defense of your teammates.
13) Don't start the fights...finish them...just keep your helmet on.

14. Don't listen to Linehan when he tells you to cut this stuff out (like he did after the Seattle game last year)---I mean, he's just the head coach, and you're a 22 year old who got kicked off 2 college teams, so what do you care.
15. Don't worry about personal fouls in games. It's just a game.
16. DO call everyone you disagree with a "hater"---it's a classy move and gives you credibility.

17. Don't throw the opponent's shoe over to the sideline after he loses it during a play

I didn't buy him as a quarterback. He's just so stiff, especially when he drops back to pass. Really stiff. He reminds me of Kurt Warner.

Re: Richie Incognito "Don't List"
I never siad not to listen to Linehan and I woul almost guarantee Linehan and the other coaches would want their lineman coming to the defense of the QB, RB, WR, etc.
If defending your teammates nets a personal foul, it's unfortunate, but better than watching a teammate get pummeled.
The late, great linemen from the past were ruthless, dirty, mean son of a guns, who by today's sissy standards would probably get ejected in every game.
Cog has a fiery passion that we haven't seen a Ram have in a long time, and as long as he keeps it under control it's a good thing.
And really z.nrd do you have to try and ruin as many threads as possible with your pointless arguing? I mean really, it's gets so old.

Re: Richie Incognito "Don't List"
That;s the thing. Control.
Jackie Slater once emptied both benches in a game where he shoved Mark Gastineau for sack dancing over the Rams qb. He never committed a personal foul before or since but that time, he reacted to flagrant taunting of the qb.
But he would never throw a helmet at the back of a team mate in practice. And he spent his career playing under control. He knew the difference.
Linehan called Incognito on this stuff publically. Twice. Once after the Seattle game, once after the recent helmet throwing incident. Linehan doesn't want it.
Now....an Incognito playing under control without the personal fouls? That's what we want to see. Channel the nastiness into legit blocking.

Re: Richie Incognito "Don't List"
You know -- I think you're right -- especially about the "don't get caught" part. That reminds me of a video clip that bounced around the internet after we drafted Richie. Like most such clips it consisted of Incognito highlights, however, my favorite part was the one where at the end of a play Richie is walking back towards the LOS and an opposing D-lineman is walking next to him in the same direction. Richie sneaks a quick glance around and apparently feeling unobserved, reaches out quick as a snake, and smacks the D-lineman's helmet out of his hand really hard. The helmet went straight down to the ground and then gave a huge bounce and went flying out of the immediate picture. The D-lineman had to go running after it while Richie kept right on walking as if nothing at all happened. On what appeared to be the next play, the D-lineman got flagged for trying to get even -- Richie really got into the guy's head ... I cannot find the clip now but some of you may remember it. In fact if Super Nick reads this perhaps he'll apply his magic wand ...

Do not lose your COMPOSURE ... do not give away any games .... use your god given talents ..... force the other team to lose composure.

19) Dont think that just because your name is Incognito nobody can recognize you.

Re: Richie Incognito "Don't List"
while its true that richie gets caught from time to time, i believe he is engaging in some form of marginal behavior on virtually every play. Thats why i think that his mantra is dont get caught rather than play clean and hard.
I love the line from badmoforamfan, dude, you share my sense of humour!
