DT and RB... Anything else is gravy.

DT is what we need for starters, backup RB is a priority. I would've said Clayton but I'm 95% sure he's going to sign a deal with us so it's not too much to worry about. Getting a DT and backup RB will make us fine candidates for a deep playoff run.

Backup running back because our FO is beast and filled eveything else we needed but DT.

Re: AS OF RIGHT NOW, What should the Rams priority in FA be?
I would go after Snelling since Mebane is off the market. I see more out in the backup RB market than the DT market. So I would go RB first there is no rush to get these second tier starting DT's we will be drafting DT's early next year anyway barring a trade.

My priorities would now be:
1. Sign no.2 RB
2. Get depth at DT
3. Re-sign Clayton
4. Re-sign Goldberg

RB ... although there are still alot of quality RB's out there so no rush, although Snelling i would push for.
I wouldnt be surprised if we dont sign another WR (if we sign Clayton).
DT would be second on my list

Re: AS OF RIGHT NOW, What should the Rams priority in FA be?
The most pressing need right now would be DT. We have a star running back and yes it would be great to have a good backup RB, BUT none of the guys at DT (with the obvious exception of Robbins) are ANYWHERE near starting material.

DT. Robbins was great last year, but at his age, I'm not sure if that kind of production can be counted on again.

We need to pick up Muir and Snelling.

Re: AS OF RIGHT NOW, What should the Rams priority in FA be?
I understand the need we have for a backup RB and the need for a DT upgrade on 1st and 2nd down. As Hall will be in there on 3rd and Nick pointed out the other day.
However, in weeks 1-4 Bradford to Clayton was the top combo in the league as Clayton was top 3 in recieving yards up to that point and they only had 1 week in advance to work together. We NEED Clayton IMO.

How about adding OG back to the list since Jason La Canfora is reporting we are going to cut Bell.

Re: AS OF RIGHT NOW, What should the Rams priority in FA be?
You say that like it's a horrible thing. PFT had a bunch of comments asking who he was, and one poster said that he's an OG who spends his sundays getting pushed into the backfield by mediocre DT's. It's the truth. It ended up being a bad signing and if we can get a middle of the road LG to replace him for less than $6M, then it's a good cut.
I bet we'll be fine.I believe!
