    Is Ritchie...Incognito?

Reports have it that Ritchie "COGS" Incognito missed todays' practice due to injury.
Its very discouraging seeing key players for the Rams go down with injuries, so close to the start of the season.

Its been nice to see COGS in action, this preseason, channeling his energy towards opponents instead of fans. Ritchie really seems to be focused, just hope his ready to go openning day. Rams need this guy!

    How serious is COGS injury?

I, too, have been very happy with the (lack of) news surrounding Cogs this offseason and preseason. I think the new regime might have really lit a fire under his butt to perform, if only because they have absolutely no loyalty to him, and he only gets to stay if he's the best. He might have finally gotten that wake up call, but of course I think it'll take a few weeks of the regular season to really see if he's changed or not. If he's focused, he's one of the best!

Not trying to switch topics, but I have also not observed many false starts from Barron...could we have better control of the line now?

This guy is a mauler and I do believe that the Rams will be running often to the right with Jason Smith to his right should make some good watching. I do agree that the new regime has put a fire under hi butt, I also believe that last year he was one of the only players on that offensive line defending his teamates. I know he has said and done some things to the fans that he regrets, but everyone makes mistakes and I am expecting big things from him.

    Re: Is Ritchie...Incognito?

It is nice to see and hear positives about Incognito, but I will reserve judgment until I see it for the duration of the season. There have been too many instances dating back to his days as a college player where Cogs has acted like a knucklehead and lost his poise- I almost threw my television through the window last year when he nearly cost us the Redskins game-. "Cautiously optimistic" is an appropriate phrase here.

It is said that the man has some ability, which is why he's stuck around. Hopefully, the new regime has stressed his importance to the team and also conveyed how big a year this is for him personally.
