Which of the following best describes your view?
NOTE: I obviously have no idea if there is any validity whatsoever to the "reports" that the Rams are interested in Ryan. This poll is purely a hypothetical designed to gauge the opinions of Clan members regarding the idea of Ryan being hired as DC.
I went with the third choice, though the last choice was also an option. I won't lose sleep about this decision either way for a simple reason: I trust Jeff Fisher.
Im in the same boat as you Av. Wouldn't be my choice, but if Fisher thinks its a good idea, then who am i to disagree.

It's Fishers D, we didn't have a DC and we did great!
Not my first choice but whatever, I'm just a fan. I am however, getting keen to the idea of having ol' Fat Gandalf on the sidelines yelling "You shall not pass!!!!"
I think the fact that we didn't truly even have a D-Coordinator this season speaks volumes to the idea that it's Fisher's defense. While Ryan certainly would have a larger influence than kid Williams did, I still think the system would largely remain the same. That is a point Fisher stressed when prompted to speak about Schott's head coach interviews, and there's no reason to believe that Ryan's hiring would mean a switch to a 3-4 or some other major change.
Fyi, Ryan has ran 4-3 defenses also
I don't care if we hire him, I know Fish will be overlooking that defense. I'm confident we will still play well defensive physical football no matter who the coordinator is.
I don't think it really matters. Whoever is there, its Fisher's defense. This is how I feel about it, If we promote from within or hire someone outside Fisher will control the scheme.
If there's any validity to these reports why haven't I seen even a "sources" type of report on ESPN or NFL Network. I think the guy is overrated and despite my absolute trust in Jeff Fisher, my feeling is we can do better. I voted name recognition exceeds performance, I'd pass. I have this nagging thought of loyalty to the Ryan family from Jeff Fisher and I hope he "gets over it".

Well hopefully things will look up in 2013. As really not ready to judge Rob for the Rams yet. Though he was very colorful for the Cowboys!
