Robert Quinn
This kid is going to be a star. He's got to be one of the most athletic DE's I've ever seen. Lightning quick reflexes and a massive explosion off the ball that leads to big plays on both defense and special teams. He's a difference maker, plain and simple. We're in great shape on the edges.

Re: Robert Quinn
What's even more amazing is he had a year off of football. You would think he would struggle a lot this year, but he is just so athletically gifted that he's already put together a darn good season... and should get even better!
With him and Long, I feel great at DE for the next several years.

Great on special teams too.

Re: Robert Quinn
Agreed, now we just need some DT's that are disruptive, create a push on the pocket, and take up blockers.
If our offense ever takes off and lets these ends play with a lead, watch out.

Re: Robert Quinn
And this is why I get so ticked off at posts wishing that we would ahve traded eveything to get Julio or Green or why we didn't trade that pick for VJax or something.
Quinn is going to be an absolute star on the other side of Long, a real Mathis to Freeney kind of situation. And as I've said all along, they drafted him for next year. This is his knocking off the rust, learn the NFL year. If we can get an offense out on the field, our pass rush is going to dominate next year.I believe!

Re: Robert Quinn

Re: Robert Quinn
Because he was a rookie, was super rusty after having the last year off, and because we had James Hall, who is much better all around at this point.
Quinn started as just a pass rusher so that he could just pin his ears back and go after the ball as opposed to having to learn a whole bunch of responsibilities all at once. He's just scratching the surface, trust me.I believe!

Re: Robert Quinn
ANd why did it take this long before Spags started him and gave him alot of PT.He is already better than James hall and his ceiling is unmeasurable its unreal.I love this kidd great pickup and even after 1 year off he has shaken the rust off and alrdy made big plays on ST and def.We are set for DE's for a long time now we just need a DT and our line will be a top in the NFL.

Re: Robert Quinn
This kid is truly going to be special. His length, size, speed, athleticism, and great first step will enable him to smoke OT's trying to stop him everywhere. I cant wait to see Long and Quinn rushing the passer. Thats going to be scary.

Re: Robert Quinn
Looks like the real deal, but he can get swallowed up in the run game. He needs to get stronger and better in that part of the game, IMHO, before we should get that excited. But he has had a nice rookie season; its nice to know that we can draft people in the first round who aren't busts. Two in a row even!
