St. Louis County, MO (KSDK) - Robert Quinn, the St. Louis Rams' first-round draft pick in 2011, was arrested for DWI earlier this month.
Quinn was pulled over July 10 in Florissant. He was charged with DWI and two additional traffic charges. He posted bond and was released from jail that night.
Robert Quinn, a defensive end, was drafted 14th overall in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of North Carolina.
NewsChannel 5 will have more information on this story as it becomes available.
Dear Mr. Quinn,
When we said you should try to be more like Leonard Little, this is not what we meant.
Sincerely,
Rams Fans Everywhere
*Prolonged sigh*
What an epicly stupid thing to do.
Jeez, NFL players getting arrested left and right. It's like an epidemic right now :|
Wow, this off-season has been ridiculous in the NFL. That is the 25th arrest this off-season
Does the first DUI warrant a suspension from Goodell??
Wow I hope he learn from this and can get his house in order.
I never heard of a DWI, living in cali
So if you are a bad driver don't even have one drink I guess...Quote:
DUI vs DWI?
What Is the Difference Between DUI and DWI?
DUI is an acronym for driving under the influence. DWI stands for driving while intoxicated. In some cases, depending on state law, the two terms are both used to describe impaired or drunken driving. Some state laws refer to it as DUI and others call it DWI.
However, in states where both terms are used, DWI usually refers to driving while intoxicated of alcohol, while DUI is used when the driver is charged with being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Both charges mean the arresting officer has reason to believe the driver is too impaired to continue to drive. In some jurisdictions, drivers can be charged with impaired driving (or driving under the influence) even if they do not meet the blood alcohol concentration levels for legal intoxication.
wow all i have to say
This is disappointing. Quinn is a guy who should appreciate what he's got, most notably his life, as he walks around with an inoperable brain tumor that doctors said should have killed him. He's already been given the benefit of the doubt from the Rams after being suspended a year in college for accepting 5 grand in jewelry, then lying to investigators about it, and now this. I just don't get it.
I know bad things happen to good people, but Quinn has to realize this is it, he's out of second chances.
Jeez.
Unfortunately people who are either high level athletes or in high positions of power don't often realize how easily they can lose everything until it slaps them in the face.
As much as you tell these guys they just don't get it, I'm sure Fisher gave them the stay out of trouble for the next six weeks... I read there where like 18 arrest since the SB 18!
