Re: Rodger Saffold recovery?
Call me weird, but I am not sure I really want to mess with the chemistry right now. Rather he is 100% when he does return.
This space for rent...

Re: Rodger Saffold recovery?
Um...okay; you're weird....lol...Sam is the 3rd most sacked QB & 3rd most hit QB in the NFL. Iirc, only AZ ...no surprise there.......and Philly have been worse in pass pro. Exactly what chemistry are you referring to ? It's not Hunter they need to bench, imo; it's Ojinnaka. Play Hunter at LG.
Edit ps: Btw, Saffold was listed as questionable through most of last week, too, and scratched in the end. Of course, you wait until he's ready but nobody is 100% 5 games in to the season, we're often told,no ? But I think it's important he's back, hopefully along with Wells, for the SF game most of all. Bradford won't survive that defense without better support up front.Last edited by Azul e Oro; -10-08-2012 at 03:35 AM.

Re: Rodger Saffold recovery?
I guess im weird too...I want him to be 100% before bringing him back and the chemistry on the line looked solid the past couple weeks but I still dislike Ojinaka....I think it would be more beneficial if we worked Saffold back seeing him at guard
This past off-season many wanted Kalil with our 1st rounder and kick saffold inside so I think we should at least test him there

Re: Rodger Saffold recovery?
I would like to see Quinn Ojinnaka out of the line up ASAP. When Saffold returns, we can move Hunter to guard. Ojinnaka did go out late in the game and did not return he was replaced by Shelley Smith.

Re: Rodger Saffold recovery?
I asked either Gordo or Jim Thomas last week (can't remember which) where Hunter would go once Saffold is healthy, the response was that Wayne might be moved to RT - his natural position. I don't remember if he said where Richardson would end up. Clearly we could use an upgrade at LG as Quinn O. gets overpowered too often. Can Richardson play guard too? Either way, we need an upgrade over Q.O.

I would think this is a good game to let Stewart get some more hits under his belt.
Patient, not saintly.

Re: Rodger Saffold recovery?
I recall reading about Hunter after the trade and this is what I read, so I assumed he could play some guard for us.
“He played some great football for us,” Ryan said. “When you look at the first two years we were here, we had him basically as our sixth man, he fit everywhere, even tight end, tackle, guard, wherever. The guy was really valuable.”
