Romeo...

For a Rams organization--according to Schefter at least--that wants to keep McDaniels, Romeo Crennel may have helped us out big time defeating the previously undefeated Green Bay Packers.

We are, unfortunately, in such a horrible position and we have to make a lot of difficult choices. Do we stay with McDaniels regardless of who the next Head Coach/GM is? Is it stubborn and ignorant for us to assume that, because of the bizarre offseason, that's why the team couldn't grasp McD's complicated offense? Or, perhaps, this offense isn't suited for Bradford--hell, is it suited for the offensive unit we have (not that they deserve to be called one right now, anyways)?

A lot of tough decisions are ahead for Stan.

I'm all for stability, especially since I don't want Sam having a 3rd brand new offensive system to learn, however if it's not the type of system he can flourish in--whether he has weapons or not--then I'd say scrap it. Not to mention, McDaniels--if he does in fact make the Rams offense shine again next year--will more than likely want to get a Head Coaching gig elsewhere down the road...

It's going to depend on whether Kroenke wants to eat the contract of McDaniels, barring another NFL team wanting to hire him as OC or even HC(that was a rumor out of KC). He may/may not want to do that. Then there is the possibility of a new GM taking over who may have their own thoughts on whether to keep McDaniels or not.

I don't really care either way about McDaniels. His success with Kyle Orton in Denver shows that it wasn't just NE where he can get results, but he gets his share of blame for this year's totally dismal offense. If he stays, fine, I think the Rams can have some success with him IF they shore-up the wretched OL and IF they have at least Lloyd or a #1 WR heading into next year. If he goes, oh well. While there is something to be said for Bradford staying in the same system, that system has royally sucked this year regardless of the injuries and the most overpaid and underachieving OL in the NFL. It's a results-business and the results this year on offense are scary awful.

The only person who knows the Rams' plans is Stan Kroenke, and he might not even know yet.

True, but nonetheless these are real concerns one should have with the Rams right now.

Exactly. But hey, did you know that the Rams might consider trading their top pick next year? SHOCKING! No other NFL team is going to consider that apparently.

Saying (right now) that the Rams might consider trading their pick is about as big a scoop as "Single guy going out on Saturday night might consider hooking up with a hot girl who invites him back to her apartment."
