I don't think he's that good. He was fired as the bears coordinator 2 years ago, he was a finalist with the rams last time and lost out to Linehan. Plus he's only been the DC in san diego for half a season, and their defense wasn't anything special (27th against the pass, last in penalties against DBs). I think looking at the DCs who are rams finalists, Frazier, Ryan and Spags I don't think the rams are missing out on anything with Rivera

Turn us down?? I don't think the Rams have shown much, if any, interest at all in this guy. I know I haven't heard his name bantied around regarding the Rams HC job. It looks like Billy's got his 5 finalists all lined up and Ron Rivera is not one of them.

Rivera didnt turn us down this time because he wasnt even asked..

he was canned by Lovie in Chicago because he didnt run his Cover2 enough..not because he wasnt the best man for the job or anything like that..im sure no Bears fan would say they happy with Rivera leaving or what has happened to that unit since he left.

also im sure there`s plenty of Chargers fans who are more than happy with the way he has turned around their minus-Merriman D after its hapless showing in the first half.

he is a very good candidate..but he never became one this time round for the Rams.
