ROTD: The 00s
Here's the last decade poll.
Isaac Bruce, who is clearly going to win the 90s poll, is not eligible.
Next will be the inevitable "Mr. Ram" poll which will be a battle of the winners!

Re: ROTD: The 00s
For me, this was a tough choice. Faulk and Warner had the most dramatic seasons. Pace is a slalwart.
But Torry Holt has had it all. Production, consistency, longevity.
He got my vote.

Re: ROTD: The 00s
Marshall's the man for me. Could make the best defenders look stupid. Could catch the ball as well as any receiver, rarely fumbled the ball. A winner.

Re: ROTD: The 00s
It's got to be Holt. He has been there the whole decade so far and has been consistently productive. Even as he ages, he still possesses great skills and team leadership attributes.

Re: ROTD: The 00s
Interesting early results. I thought it would be a three man race between Holt, Faulk and Warner, with Faulk coming out on top. So far, its Holt by a wide margin.
Let's see how this develops...

Re: ROTD: The 00s
For me it's Faulk for sure. We could probably have won the SB without Holt (we had other good receivers like Bruce and Faulk could catch it out of the backfield like no one else) - but never without Faulk - he was the best player at any position in the NFL for at least 3 years and I don't know any other Ram that could lay claim to that honor.
I am surprised Warner has not gathered some votes yet.

Re: ROTD: The 00s
This was a tought one. It was between Faulk and Warner. I had to go with Warner. The guy came in as a no name and took us to our 1st SB win, even thought it was 99 and we are polling 00. He proved after that year he wasn't a 1 year wonder. I think he would still be a Ram if it wasn't for the bad blood between Martz & Warner's wife.

Re: ROTD: The 00s
I went with Marshall because he had the quickest, strongest impact. A threat to run, catch or even as a decoy, he made defenses nervous! Some of those touch down runs for 50+ were amazing!
Holt will always be the consummate professional with a great attitude and K Dub is great not only because of his humbleness, but because he genuinely cared. Plus he is from Iowa just like me!
Just looking at those names make me think of the line in Garth Brooks song "The Dance"..."didn't we almost have it all!" sighhhhhh......

Re: ROTD: The 00s
My heart said "Warner", just because the story was so fantastic. But.....
The GSOT wouldn't have been possible without Marshall Faulk. His presence in the backfield was what made that offense work. He was definitely, "the man". I think that if, at any time you could remove Holt, or Bruce, or even Warner from the equation (not all at once, of course) the loss of any one of those guys wouldn't have shut down that dynamic offense. If Holt, Bruce, and Warner each represented a bullet in a powerful gun, Marshall was the trigger that made it all go boom.

Totally agree with you. I was torn between him and Holt but like you said, He was trigger for the GSOT. No doubt about it.

Re: ROTD: The 00s
Truly an interesting race this has turned into. How do the numbers shake out between the two frontrunners
Faulk - 8601 yards, 73 TDs
Holt - 11108 yards, 65 TDs

Re: ROTD: The 00s
:r Very similar sentiments as RFRH / Thoey.
Voted for The Marshall, for his splendid knowledge of the game, his moves in the game, and the games he helped us win this decade. ...Another Ram FHOF.
